Arsenal v CCFC - on TV maybe ?? (1 Viewer)

Maybe David and Goliath attraction for arsenal game to be on TV as classic underdog scenario ??.

Can't see why not

If i was a neutral, i wouldnt be able to get my head around why this was on TV. Top of the prem at home v mid table league one.

In the words of Kevin Keegan "I'd love it" If we were on though

I'd go these above the cov game

Stevenage v Everton
Chelsea v Stoke City
AFC Bournemouth or Burton Albion v Liverpool
Sheffield United v Norwich City or Fulham

how many live games are being shown ?

They should be able to squeeze 5 or 6 out of it.

The Fa Cup highlight show last night had Arsenal vs Coventry as "the pick of the round". I will be absoloutey astounded if it isn't on TV.

No longer guaranteed ................................................like 7-8 minutes injury time since Fergie left and Swansea came to town ,But I'm guessing you're doing irony here .

I suspect it will be one of the following fixtures:

Arsenal v Coventry
Stevenage v Everton
Southampton v Yeovil

Blackburn or Manchester City v Bristol City or Watford
Bournemouth or Burton v Liverpool

I'd say we are in with a chance, maybe a little better as people knowing the way we will play will expect an open, attacking game of Football from both sides.

TV companies don't love an upset anymore. They show the big prem teams. They were always on the most when ITV showed Div 1 and this is now exacerbated since the Prem / 1st division went on to Sky. I would say we have a very good chance of being on. If not on TV here it will be widely available as a stream.

I would be astounded if it was on. TV companies tend to favour the underdog at home as it represents the chance of an upset. Bmth v Liverpool for example. But not if it was at Anfield.

Arsenal v Cov at the Emirates is a ridiculous mis-match irrespective of how incredibly well SP has done.

It is a mismatch, but I just wondered if with it being such a nondescript draw and the fact that both teams play exciting attacking football, would it not be a potential game for TV?

BT Sport is any night, I've watched a game that was on a Monday. Barnsley fans are furious they have missed out on this day out and the revenue from it. He he

didnt they think before hand it would be an easy tie for them ?

The headline on the coverage of the draw on the bbc website was "arsenal draw coventry in cup" with that being the main attraction of the piece followed by the rest of the ties.

Tv companies like viewing figures oer anything and with united out arsenal an Liverpool are the 2 most supported/watched teams in the cup. I'd be shocked if it wasn't on tv.

Lesser of two evils, but 2 prem teams will get more interest than an Arsenal home game v a league one club

FFor a league game, yes top league teams all day long. For the cup, as a neutral viewer, i would much rather watch a top prem side v a low league side, more interesting, entertaining and the thought of seeing a great cup upset is much more appealing.

Im not neutral i want to see us show the country how far we have come as a squad from last years game, just hope we turn up and make them work hard for a win, rather than getting walked all over.

Yeah, without actually saying so, they blatantly thought it was a home banker and I would naturally normally agree however they are bottom so its likely they are really at the same level as us anyway. Stilll, it was an impressive win for us.

Local radio were spouting it was an easy tie when I was listening in my car on my way home from work before the game. I knew at that point we would win.
