sisu can now build there stadium in coventry, seeing as the ricoh would be for the eggchasers.
If only they had the money!
If only they had the money!
And how do you know they haven't got it?
Because we would not have come down this road and be where we are if they had that sort of money available....available being the key word.

Would this be the stadium they had/have no intention of building? Because if it is we may be truly fucked.
Yep the SISU 'CCFC pot' has run dry. There's no new stadium and no money to match any 'wasps' Ricoh offer imo. There's also no money to fund any promotion chase, except getting lucky on the back of a good manager. I think now is a very good time for someone to try and buy CCFC with some provisions of giving SISU a % return if they got to the Prem. SISU are more likely to get some money back with a new owner who is willing to give it a punt....
But they "don't sell at the bottom of a business cycle", remember?

Are the club now losing lots of money on a week by week basis?
There's one question I'd like answered.
To quote SISU: "we need 365 days of revenue from a stadium"
So say SISU build a stadium. Holds 15K (I think was quoted?), so a relatively small stadium. Where does the 365 day revenues come from?
Without hotels, conference, retail, casinos, etc where does income come in other than matchday/ football related revenue?
You make a very good point. Total revenue from a shitty little stadium will be, well... Shit.

Will have top quality pies though!
That's exactly my point.
I'm sure someone can enlighten us, as they're in the know
If they were to build it - you would expect this to be part of the plans.

Exactly. It's not going to be anything like the Ricoh or have the same facilities surely. It's looking like it's going to be a cheap build, smaller stadium and I can't see how that will bring in big concerts, or have a hotel and big conference facilities attached.
The Ricoh makes perfest sense.
Large stadium, suitable for the Premiership, can accommodate large concerts, close to the motorway network, close to shops and restaurants, large conference facilities, hotel, casino and soon to have its own rail station.
How on earth is any new stadium going to have all that and be able to be very close to Coventry, or even be within the city boundaries? There would be no space in the Coventry area for it anyway surely.
If a stadium would be built, I feel sure it will be a watered down, much cheaper, much smaller, less attractive arena, that wouldn't attract any major events at all.
Unless of course Sisu want to build the stadium and then bring in an outside sports franchise to perhaps share the occupancy.
You sound so confident, let's just wait and see.
Waiting and seeing is exactly what we've been doing.
This is the longest three weeks ever
