This was the point. But it became some weird virtue signal that people would refuse to move for some reason. Only themselves to blame really.
Some people have valid reasons but I'm still surprised more didn't move over. Those that did move, aren't happy because they are surrounded by families.
In an ideal world, the away fans would be in Blocks 10-12 but it's never going to happen.
If they were ST holders they had the chance to move before any families. I think the club handled comma poorly TBH as well. The right thing to so would have been to communicate directly with B15/16 ST holders and others (they’ve got the data) and encourage them to move en masse.
I'm not sure the club, and especially not the SAG/police really want everyone moving over.
From their perspective, the current set up is perfect. They don't have to do much because there's almost nobody behind the goal to worry about.
It is probably true. Its a lot safer and less work having the set up as it is now. Getting all of the corner to move would have been a lot more prone to incidents with the opposition fans. This sounds like nonsense TBH. If you don’t want your loudest fans there why put safe standing which attracts those fans?

I agree, it's all a bit strange. Although, that is likely why they didn't put safe standing in Block 10 to make it some sort of divide.
How?
It’s this sort of weird conspiracy theory stuff that stopped people moving over. It’s baseless nonsense that doesn’t make any sense. The club have no way of stopping people and the police aren’t going to recommend something that’s only safe is a given PR strategy is followed.
It's not a conspiracy. All police forces/SAG would like away fans away from any potential issues.
Why do you think the away fans have always been miles away from the corner until last season? It makes it easier to police and manager.
Let's not forget, until last season, we couldn't even open Block 13 for a sell out match.
Seemed OK in the FA cup game, no idea if this is an outlier as I'm a staunch 18 man myself.Half the corner isn't singing. Almost nobody at the bottom was joining in when the drummer was smacking away.
The south stand is full of families and tourists really.
It is an unproven and unevidenced theory that involves a conspiracy between the club and the police to stop people moving. It is a dictionary definition conspiracy theory.

I believe the main reason the atmosphere has dipped is due to the opening of the south stand.
Having the away fans blocks away from singers corner has reduced the atmosphere. Noise is generated by the banter and provocation of the two sets of fans being close to each other. That was back for the Wednesday cup game, having the away fans close to singers corner.
The only solution would be, for singers corner to move behind the goal in the south stand. The view of the pitch is a bit shite in singers corner so i would see it as a win win.
Is “I’d just rather stay where I am in block 16” still not an acceptable reason?
The south stand is full of families and tourists really.
Is it though?
Although I am probably going to move but not because of the Atmosphere but the bollocks about being penned into a tiny little square at half time (as opposed to when they open up all of the bars / kiosks around the other side).
The atmosphere is surprisingly decent and it's much louder than sitting in Block 16 for the Sheff Weds game.
Next season’s player intro videos under Lampard:Ain’t bothered. What I’ve said is true.
My favourite part of the stand is the concourse and general ease of getting in and out. It's probably what will keep me there no matter how much I moan about the atmosphere ().
It's much better over that side, especially when it's a bit warmer and you want to go outside for a bit and there's loads more bars.
In the South Stand it's literally a tiny little pen outside (I don't smoke).
It reminded me of block 18 (at the top) about two seasons agoI was in 15 for the cup game and it was better but still not great.
See i think the “many men” thing would be class. If we were actually dominating the league, or even a promotion chasing side.I think the pre match tunes are wank aswell
Not one song gets anyone pumped up and ready to belt out songs
Agreed with the above, the 'many men' video thing pre game is fucking pants, last years historical montage with current season highlights added was way better
There was still hope and expectation for the season at that point eyI think the atmosphere at the Oxford game is up there with the best since our return to the Arena. Noise all the way from the stadium, through the tunnels and into Tesco car park at the end of the match.
Inside, the stadium was a real cauldron, even the Oxford manager referred to the atmosphere saying how intimidating it was. Play with flair and intensity and the atmosphere will follow.

Agree. But it’s also ok for it to have a lull, it reflects where we are on pitch - going through huge change, chance for new hero’s to come on board in summer, then let’s see what FL team can do next season.Peak CBS atmosphere was 2021 - 2024
Genuinely one of the best in the country at that time

Said this before but the Bristol city game where we were down to 10 men and Godden scored to win it 3-2 in injury time - the atmosphere at that game at the end in particular was incredible.Peak CBS atmosphere was 2021 - 2024

that was my lads first live match as well and was hooked since.
Just shy of 20k at that game too, just checked.Agreed, one of my favourite ever games
It's hard to imagine a better atmosphere than the home game against Birmingham in 2023. Just wall-to-wall noise, proper party atmosphere, the walls of the arena nearly blew off when Eccles scored. Felt like we could take on the entire world that day.Peak CBS atmosphere was 2021 - 2024
