• Marcus Tudgay - resigned and at 33 clearly not intended to play every game, tho will still score a few and his experience is key at this level. Father figure.
• Marvin Sordell - second most experienced forward signed as our no1 striker. Niggling injury restricted his pre season so still getting up to speed. Will he get the goals we need, guess we will no by November / December if he stays fit and a good run of games.
• Daniel Agyei - signed to give us the pace and power, shown plenty of it and already off the mark, will also be a regular starter.
• Andre Wright - maybe not 1st choice deadline day deal but pace and power is not unwelcome. Likely he will be around the 1st team.
• George Thomas - we all no George is still developing his game, time still needed in u21's and cup games. Needs pace around him, and operates better down the middle not the left or right of a front 3.
• Kwame Thomas - TM said he's signed for the future and like Sordell didn't have much preseason. Broke down against Shrewsbury and out for a month minimum. Also said to be very quick. Arrival of Andre Wright should give him time to recover and get some u23's game time with George Thomas to get up to speed.
• Jack McBean - here to develop in the u23's with a view to breaking into the 1st team. I suspect we've having a look to a view to doing a permeant deal.
So that gives us likely 4 striker options to select in the match day squad, Sordell, Agyei, Tudgay and Wright with K Thomas, G Thomas and Mcbean developing in the u23's.
Add wide players Jodi Jones, Reuben Lameiras and Kyle Reid that gives you healthy attacking options, sure these three are not likely to score double figures but can provide the space, trickery and threat to create and also chip in with goals to assist the 4 strikers.
