...biggest game of the season so far. Can we get more than 9,000 for his one ?

Annoying, cos I think a win on Saturday would have added a few more on the gate for Exeter, but now I think that the attendance will suffer a little.

Guess it depends on how many Exeter bring.

They're bringing a good number. Was just sat next to one of their club's board who said they've sold their initial allocation and are expecting the next batch of 4-500 to all sell too.

Not One More Fisher in my case. Had enough of all the shit going on. Delighted for all who still go but not for me anymore. Thought it would be hard to keep away but a few friends who have followed City for over 50 years until recently have told me you soon get used to not going as its not the club we used to love. Yes we never pulled up any trees, sold players to buy new ones but its all turned into a Hybrid Nuneaton Boro in all honesty.
Cheer them on Im not feeling the "love in" I used to have anymore sadly.

I think we need around 11 or 12K to go back top of the average home attendances. Although,i'm guessing it will be 8500-9000.

There will be the usual 6000 odd home fans and at a guess 12-1500 away, so anything from 7-7500 at best.

Yeah, bit like that myself, didn't renew and really thought I'd miss it more than I do. Have still been this season and payed and had a couple of freebie's, but your right, it's not really the same for me anymore either. Hopefully as the season goes on it might come back, but you just know that something will happen to throw a spanner in the works somewhere along the line.

I was told by gent in Exeter's press office that they've currently sold between 500 - 1,000 tickets.

They expect it will reach over 1,000+ tickets travelling from the SW.

Overall attendnce 7,001

"the usual 6000" used to be a lot more.

You do fear that even 6000 will no longer be the usual if we don't go up this year

Goes for me too. I've been reading different threads to try and find some enthusiasm but the appeal thing is just really depressing. My nephew plays under 18s at a decent standard and must admit I'm enjoying watching that more than the couple of CCFC games I've been to this season. It's just about football, no politics or anything else. You forget what it's like talking about the game not money and court stuff and all the rest of the sisu and other crap

I would guess at 8500 attendance or is that the number of times we have muttered "oh ffs not again" ?

The prices are killing the casual fans. It's ok saying buy a package but what happened to getting up on a Saturday morning and saying I'm off to the City today and paying something representative of the standard that this level offers. Irrespective of other clubs prices OUR club is in crisis and it should be £15 adults and £7.50 under 16's.

I reckon 8500.

The casual/fair weather supporter doesn't really care that we put in a good performance last weekend (for 45 minutes anyway). All they see if we lost to "fucking Cambridge". And as mentioned above, Exeter for the same reason will not be a draw to those fans, top of the league or not.

Know what you mean, thought I would miss going but just finding other things to do on Saturdays when we are at home. Still doing away games occasionally .

Well I was going but have just been informed that I now have been appointed to a game on the MFL. Like you say at least there will be no mention of politics/stadiums and court cases etc and people will be there to play football.
Who does your nephew play for?

He's over in Brum/Black country but I'd better not say which team as he sometimes looks at this site and he'd kill me if he realised I'd mentioned him! The first team is in the MFL Div 1 (or might be Div 2, I'm not 100% sure). Like most of the lads he's mature enough to know he's never going to be a pro and not sure how many will even make it into first teams at that level. With training, travel and all the rest it's still a big commitment but they do it because they love playing football and that's evident throughout the whole club.

It won't be anywhere near as high as the last time we played them at home in the league (in 1958). 14,576.
Even before the Jimmy Hill revolution we were attracting more fans than today.

I don't think it would make any difference

It's nothing to do with pricing in my opinion
If it was free I still would miss most of the home games. All about having belief your team can win and being entertained on a Saturday afternoon in an exciting atmosphere.

Agreed 100%. I once went to a Bradford game when Bryan Robson was manager and they were slipping inexorably into the third tier, they made a midweek winter game with Watford free. The ground wasn't even half full. Yet in the Premier a couple of years before they were selling out at £25 a ticket.

P.S. I was meaning to ask, do you actually live in Bawtry? It's all my mrs goes on about, how great it is..."oh we should go to Bawtry", "Bawtry's great, let's go there..." and so on. Never been.

how many extra people would go ?

I reckon if tickets were free we wouldn't get an other 10,000 at the moment
