We still have very good away support , will end up over 2000 again which is fantastic .. a few big clubs this year and new clubs looking to tick off grounds swelling the numbers

We'd always be below Wednesday and Leeds in the average anyway by the end of the season.. selling out Preston wouldn't change that

Yeah, we've done well.

We'll drop further though. Only Wednesday and Blackburn remaining with an away end bigger than 3000. Southampton will give us 3k but it's midweek.

Hopefully the Blackburn away game is an important once because they get about a 7k allocation

I imagine we will take 3-4000 to Hillsborough

At most there are 3 games left we take less than 2k .

Boro
Norwich
Plymouth

think we finish up on about 2100 average

I think Coventry has a more diverse population than Sunderland has, I think more people in Coventry are not interested in either the team or football itself as a proportion of the population, I think there is actually more going on down here in general. My comment wasn't even tongue in cheek, it IS the centre of the community and I DO believe there's fuck all else going on (have been there recently). They have a lovely glass museum, but apparently it's closing due to structural damage.
The argument that having a" diverse" population effects the following at Cov doesn't stack up at all, otherwise most London clubs would have poor support. Nowhere is more diverse.

I somewhat agree , but how many London clubs outside the Premier league have " diverse " followings

Nearly all London clubs outside the Premier league have shite support

Bradford get amazing support for their division and look at the demographics of that city

This is also a good way of looking at the followings

Surprised at Wednessay 92%.
I know they get good support but its a big ground.

Edit-Southampton 77%? I'd have thought there's was higher.

It’s not at their home grounds. It’s how much they fill the away ends of opponents

Big place to be fair , almost 600k people

I’m always wary of when population sizes start coming into it, as it never includes the surrounding areas

Would their catchment area be any more than Cov though ? Leeds very close and Huddersfield not far ..
Bradford's last three home games
18k
16k
17k
League 2. Absolutely fantastic support. Coventry city would never ever achieve that in league 2.

Bradford is a bigger city than coventrt ..Bradford all time average is about 10k , much lower than coventrys .. Bradford sell season tickets cheap

We also got 28k v Accrington In league 2 , probably more like 23k but point stands

Coventry miles bigger club

That Accrington game is still the record attendance for any 4th tier game since it was rebranded as league 2 in 2004

We also have some big satellite towns within 8 miles with 100k plus population ie Rugby, Leamington/Warwick and Nuneaton/Bedworth

It doesn't change the fact that Bradford's crowds in recent years have been excellent. You can make all the excuses in the world such as catchment etc but any club that achieves what they are getting is very well supported .
As for season tickets cheap at Bradford and all time averages etc we were in the premier league for far longer than them and our season ticket sales were sometimes woeful.

They're a well supported club with a diverse population.. that's fact.
