Haha throws his dolly out of the pram when I disagree. You are just a disharmonious prick.

When I write posts disproving the crap you write, or asking you to evidence the spurious shit you write, you ignore my posts as you just write a total heap of crap and havent got a leg to stand on.

Its got to the point where I just have lost the politeness and say it as it is. I contribute a whole lot more than the utter bollocks you write K, so keep living in your little bubble.

You can only disagree and can't actually put together a way forward.

It's a known fact the ccfc rent was the only reason acl ever made a profit. Yet you peddle the same old line that ccfc cant afford it. Well guess what nor can wasps really. Considering they issued bonds worth 35 million. Weren't like they were sitting on the cash. And let's be honest what they paid for the stadium is hardly big bucks

Your only solution is hanging out of wasps arse and that's only cos you do. And that's only cos you're making money out of it. Did you go watch rugby before they moved here? Top level rugby that seems to be such an appeal. Can't we have you removed from here? You're anything but a ccfc fan

Utter crap, I have questioned your points saliently on many occasions, but you regularly fail to respond, basically as you haven’t a leg to stand on, and what you write is based on little or no fact.

If I were honest though you really are a grade A prick. The club doesn’t give a shit what you think, nor do Wasps, so all this shit about finding a solution, is just that shit. If you think otherwise then you are deluded.

Thanks for the completely irrelevant quotation. I have my own ideas on what the club should do, I can suggest plenty of ways forward it’s just I am not an idiot like you in thinking that the Club will read a forum and act on it ffs.
My principles, thank goodness, differ to yours, but your logic is, if I don’t agree then I am part of the problem, whereas you just can’t see its people like you that are it, as your solutions include such epics as hoping wasps takeover the club.

You are such a self-inflated sanctimonious twat K, I just can’t believe you take what you write seriously, but realise you do.
The mark of you is that you constantly write such crap at a time the club are doing well, and yet you seem to take little or no satisfaction in the clubs achievements on the field, as you just try to push towards us becoming part of Wasps franchise off it.

In fairness, I don't agree with 99% of what he says but he is a season ticket holder and goes to games...

Jeez, can the thread calm down a little bit or have a scrap on the centre circle for charity at half time? :)

You've lost it !!
One Question. What should the club do to move this forward?

Not listen to a word you say. Not think wasps are the saviours. Remember we bring far more to that stadium currently and potentially than they ever will

I think you will find my post was well written, and quite balanced as I could really have gone to town.

Clarify your question, what should the club do to move what forward exactly? as the original post was about being the biggest club in Coventry, and so to answer that question I would say employ a decent manager and have success on the pitch, that way we will be the biggest club in Coventry. The club seem to be doing that well at present.

As you seem to be the one who lost the plot a long time ago, what exactly were you on about.

That's not a way forward though that just highlights the problem.
Where do you want things to go from here, taking into account Wasps have ACL and CCFC are tenants ?

The original post is emphasising that CCFC are now the biggest club based on attendances.
In reality it's a veiled attack on Wasps who have never actually said they are a bigger club than CCFC.
It gives people the opportunity to vent off about Wasps but it is poor show if you vent off personally because someone has another view.

It's bound to bring in responses particularly as in my case my name gets bought up in a thread as a Wasps lover / CCFC hater.
I'm a season ticket holder for both and have experienced the match day, ticket purchasing and merchandising for both CCFC and Wasps.
In that respect I can see the shortfalls and best practices for both.

so if Wasps have a bigger gate than us or their average increases above ours then they become the biggest for that week or month or season? Or do we then start comparing, history, income, assets, liabilities, balance sheets, squad sizes........ blah de blah. Pointless argument really

Reality is Wasps are here for the foreseeable future, you don't have to like it, none of us on here will be able to change it ........ BUT..........Only one club that matters to me ............ CCFC

It isn't an attack is it?

Do you not remember intheknow coming on here with his smug comments? When you have people from Wasps coming on here acting like that, do you wonder why people would raise a smile if they failed?

Sometimes you need to apply a bit of common sense.

No surprise there.

Common sense would tell you know one can predict what will happen.

The prior ACL owners bragged that CCFC revenues were only 15% of the total but ultimately the grossly inflated rent equated to all of their profit.

One thing is certain. Key to their business model is targeting large crowds at certain key matches. Having CCFC play the day before with a game that is attracting a lot of local interest will not be viewed by them as a positive as it detracts from their own game. Hence the ludicrous CET claim about the game.

This for them is a key fixture yet already the BOGOF promotions are starting again. Your notion that revenue inside the ground is what they are after is nonsense as the profit margins are far less. They need a crowd to justify the investment but are already resorting back to desperate VM measures.

Italia a couple of points.

1) Whether I agree or disgaree, I do appreciate posts like this that are more thought out, rather than when you answer a question with a question or just dismiss someones answer.
2) If you think my responses were a poor show, thats fair enough, I disagree.
3) I dont think you are a CCFC hater, I just think you spend a disproportionate amount of time on Wasps rhetoric than CCFC's current good form.

I think that Wasps will eventually fail. I dont wish it, although I dont agree with their move here, and I base my assumption on the facts and evidence out there. You and others will disagree. I also think CCFC will succeed, eventually, whether its at the Ricoh, or not.

Talk about massaging information.
I suppose that CCFC should cancel the 'Tickets for Schools' scheme for this match or you will regard them as desperate.
Why on earth would you not put IMO before the statement that Wasps view it as a negativity as CCFC game is detracting from their game ?
Back to the rent 'again'. It was a Championship rent negotiated by the club thinking they would be in the PL on a cheap rate. They did not see that they could go down a league and hence did not put a safeguard in for the rent to be lowered should the unthinkable happen.

You do make me laugh :D

Sorry Italia but £1.3m pa rent for essentially 25 days per year with no access to any revenues was not 'championship rent'.

It was high but that's what was negotiated as a 'fair' rent in the championship.
Haven't really benchmarked it but I would say it was a higher because it was thought that PL was imminent and then the rent would remain the same.
A lot of fault lies with the previous management effectively leaving the council to finish off the stadium and then balance the books with CCFC rent.
I think the ACL accounts showed they were breaking even when the Ricoh opened.

It was negotiated by incompetent owners. It's was too expensive, unaffordable and unsustainable (as agreed by the JR judge). Let's not pretend it was ever 'fair'. Given we were the anchor tenant I doubt ACL could have survived with us paying any lower, pretty sure if you look back at the accounts it will back it up.

You can't really benchmark as I believe we are the only football club (Stockport aside) that rented matchday only and got no access to revenues.

It seems pointless going over this again as had it been 'fair' we would of gone through the last 3-4 years of crap.

Italia never thought it was fair and was a huge advocate of the rent strike as the rent charged was in his view totally unjust.

Just another example of double standards in Italias ocean of contradictory statements.

Wasps are in overdrive now on subsidised tickets for the game Sunday. They know to have any credibility they need 25,000 plus. Sales currently are well below that so the freebies and Bogofs are all back again.

Show me where I agreed with the rent strike.
You need to do that before you quote double standards surely ?

I think I agree with most that.
It is a mess for CCC up to that time as they were only trying to help the club when they marginally voted to complete the stadium.
If they new what they knew now what would the decision be ?

Wasps only have what about 14/15 home games a season, even if they average higher than us it is still likely Coventry will be the most watched team in the city unless it is significantly higher
