I still have to go to Heartlands quite regularly, that takes me around 45 minutes each way from Warwick. I reckon St Andrews would add another 10 on to that. What about parking?
Is it just me that's away games only next year then?
I will be having a season ticketIs it just me that's away games only next year then?
You’d like to think CRFC will help us out given this context?
Stark difference between you lot on here and other social media, so far 196 won't follow CCFC outside of Cov, only 19 will from a poll on FB.
Personally I won't follow CCFC at home games outside of Coventry, especially St Andrews. 3 generations of my family had season tickets this season, we really enjoyed it because it was CCFC in Coventry, it was home.
I would never have that comfortable feeling in some other teams stadium watching a home game, it repulses me.

Bit different though when we still have the badges and photos up and the seats are Sky Blue and having alighted from a Sky Blue bus or helped support a Coventry pub beforehand...... the thought of playing at St Andrews in the arse end of Birmingham is not appealing. We've been doing it for the last 5 years
A very strange post indeed although some may see it as commendable.Didn't go Northampton, will follow the club wherever this time. We're the ones there for negotiation, they are the ones kicking us out.
Even if I can't go I'll buy a ticket. If they're significantly reduced I'll buy several. I'll bring friends to games and buy tickets for them. I will buy merch, I will by ifollow.
I'm not a wealthy person, I'm always skint, but I do allow myself enough money to support the club. I will ensure that my financial contribution in no way reduces because of this.
That’s the way I feel about it now as it stands. It was similar when we went down to L2-initially I didn’t go for a verity of reasons. Among them being I was fed up of the losing mentality, the politics, price increases (went up but playing at a lower level!) and a few other things. How many people who are making a point about it being their morals have said they wouldn't go to the Ricoh while sisu were here / nopm etc but have then gone?
Don't see the point in making a big song and dance about morals all the time.
I'll go if I physically can, same as before. If it's not possible for reasons like I get called to work and can't make the trip like I could at the Ricoh then obviously I'll be resigned to ifollow. That’s the way I feel about it now as it stands. We started reasonably well and I also missed it which resulted in (not just me) going back again.
Same might happen this time but that’s how it is as it stands now.
Other people who are hell bent on going come what may might change their minds and not go at the start of the season if other things happen/come to light.

It's pointless making out it's about morals.
FWIW I don't have a problem with you holding that view. You're not asking / demanding everyone to agree with you, and that's the difference. As long as we all keep it like that, it ought to be OK.I’m afraid for me it is. Is it morally wrong to take Coventry city (whatever the reasons and who’s behind it) out of the City of Coventry to play fixtures? In my eyes yes.
Yeah which you are entitled to, my point is just that when people make those statements (like nopm etc) and that its about morals they end up breaking them and doing u turns.

Yeah, agree.FWIW I don't have a problem with you holding that view. You're not asking / demanding everyone to agree with you, and that's the difference. As long as we all keep it like that, it ought to be OK.
Yeah, agree.
I don't quite have the same moral standpoint, but when we went to Sixfields, for me that felt we no longer had a club.
If I could go to St. Andrews or wherever, it just wouldn't feel right for me. It just wouldn't feel like our ground, or that we were at home.
Biggest worry too for me is that this could be many, many years and the longer we are away, the less it will feel like our club.
Plus I obviously believe that Sisu has zero intention of ever building a new stadium anyway.
I think we need to respect all views on the matter.
So what is the alternative to playing elsewhere? Sisu here or not, that EC complaint against the council will roll on. If state aid proven, who will benefit? Definitely not CCFC if Sisu are gone, merely doubtful if Sisu still here. Going to away games only, financially supports other clubs, helping them be more competitive, so not supporting the team in the long run. To answer my own question, a sit stands the only alternative is that we play nowhere and cease to exist. If that happens, and state aid IS proven, how will you feel then?I’m afraid for me it is. Otis, you DON'T have to justify your finances to anyone, especially on this forum.Yeah, but I can't afford it. Simple really.
And especially not to my wife or bank manager.Otis, you DON'T have to justify your finances to anyone, especially on this forum.

One of the things I have about ‘outside of the city of Coventry’ thing that everyone says. Hypothetical situation but if you were a Brighton fan would you refuse to go? As I understand it the AMEX isn’t in Brighton, therefore are Brighton’s honours the devil incarnate as well?

Morals = Sunderland fans = deranged. How many people who are making a point about it being their morals have said they wouldn't go to the Ricoh while sisu were here / nopm etc but have then gone?

Slighty different but if they build a ground in Ryton, Bedworth or Bulkington would I go-of course. One of the things I have about ‘outside of the city of Coventry’ thing that everyone says. Build a ground, FFS, that is the one sure thing in all of this, SISU have neither the intention or funds to build a new ground, they are just a bunch of snivelling liars on that score. If we are forced out then the only road back to Cov will be when either they sod off or Wasps go bust !
