I find it odd that people don’t want ties like this because of the risk of being knocked out by a non league side then also propose to put out a weakened team which makes that more likely.

Was it not an early kick off etc and poorly priced. Be nice if we could better that figure this time.No chance of a 15K crowd. We had 8K against Derby in the FA Cup last season and a third of that was Derby fans.
Our squad is too small to rotate much.We should be able to beat them with a weakened team without risking big players getting injured.

Well they aren’t and we can’t move them on. That’s half the problem.Thees not a lot of wiggle room but I wouldn't be playing the big guns.
If the rest aren't good enough to deal with Wrexham time to start moving them on.

I would rather start a strong side, get a few goals and then bring on the youngsters instead of holding them in reserve in case we're in trouble. In his time here Robins has tended to go stronger in the FA Cup than the League Cup so hopefully he agreesThey should be good enough to beat a non league team,

Apart from playing Stoke who were in the premier league at the time we’ve barely managed a few thousand home fans for an FA Cup 3rd Round match.Because the pricing was stupid and you needed previous purchase history to buy one. Police did everything to make it difficult.
I’m reading this in a Welsh accent …. So much better. Hope you have a promotion season… but a cup run ending in Jan 23Oh don’t get me wrong I don’t think this team would cut the mustard in League 1. We’d need quite a few upgrades and probably a new manager but we’ve some League 1 quality players is all I’m saying. Just be happy getting out of the NL before worrying about all that anyway.
Yeah all I’m hoping is we give a good showing of ourselves, may be a boost in confidence for the rest of the season if we do.
Got a couple of mates who are Cov fans so keep an eye out for your results too, very much looking forward to this one.
Price it sensibly and maybe give some loyalty points to those who attend. That should drive up the numbers. I know there is always a disappointing level of apathy with the early rounds but win this game and the odds of a glamour tie vastly increase. The money in the FA cup is also very decent.Apart from playing Stoke who were in the premier league at the time we’ve barely managed a few thousand home fans for an FA Cup 3rd Round match.
Yeah agree they need to do something because we have 4 games over the Xmas period already with 3 of them at home. People simply can’t afford it and the cup game would be the least priority. I remember playing Boreham Wood in the FA Cup a few years back and the crowd was less than 3K. Wrexham will obviously bring more but I fear it could still be very low numbers in the home end if not priced sensibly.Price it sensibly and maybe give some loyalty points to those who attend. Hope the club can turn it into a Community day or perhaps Season Ticket holders half price etc. and it gets people along. Wrexham will sell out I expect so be nice to have a good atmosphere.
Somebody reckons the fa regulate it to a minimum of £15, presumably to benefit the lower ranked clubsMake it £10 a ticket, £1 for kids. Why not?
There will definitely be a price cap somewhere along the line as each club gets 45% gate receipts with the other 10% going to the FA prize pool.Somebody reckons the fa regulate it to a minimum of £15, presumably to benefit the lower ranked clubs

The game is in January though and there are over 13000 season ticket holders who haven’t paid out for match tickets over the xmas period.Yeah agree they need to do something because we have 4 games over the Xmas period already with 3 of them at home. They're in the NL for a reason. Stockport were comfortably the best team in the NL last season but are bang average in L2 this season. Money doesn't instantly translate to quality. We should be beating these 3/4-0 any day of the week. Maybe a tough tie if we were away but not at home. This is right. They’re going to be better than most league 2 teams. It’s probably right to think of them as league 1 opposition.
The last time we played a non-league team at home in the FA Cup the crowd was under 3K
Attendance: 2,985 (595 Boreham Wood).
Granted, Wrexham will bring 4K so the gate will be higher but they will probably out number us.
4 weeks later we played stoke in the next round and had 15K there. My point was no one is bothered about watching non league teams. We were in the lowest position in the club's history at that point and home crowds weren't much better in the League.
