Wouldn't it be in their interest to make as much money as possible from ours and Wasps match days though?

Not if they are unable to deliver the solutions to the problem. Rolling stock seems to be the issue and available man power to run it. The SAG seem to have advised that there needs to be more trains at certain times (although I don't think the report has been made public so we don't really know) to service the Ricoh at peak times such as after games. London Midland don't want to invest to do this for whatever reason so they chose to close the station for a period of time instead as a remedy.

So if London Midland told the council etc 5 years ago why hasn't it been mentioned while the politicians and others are all taking credit for it?

If this bunch of pricks want to act like heros and pose for pictures and take credit for it, where are they all when it goes wrong to take the flack?

Because, as you've just pointed out they're politicians. That's what they do. CCC don't have the monopoly on that and no, I'm not saying that makes it alright.

I'm amazed not to have heard from a certain gravel-voiced female politician over this fiasco.

If they want to pose for that picture and act like heros, they should be answering the questions now surely? Instead they reel out Maton the defender of the galaxy, may as well be the amount of shit he talks.

So if they have spoken shit about another thing (This train station) then what else have they spoken shit about? What else do they know about but have hidden away?

Just another thought. I guess it could be the emergency services who also co-ordanate the SAG. The line that doesn't at this moment in time meet capacity at peak momemnts will need policing to make safe, If they can't do this and an accident occurs the likelyhood of the fire and ambulance services being involved is high so it's quite possible it's the emergency services that have ordered the closure of the station for an hour after games as a preventative measure given that the rail providers can't deliver the train capacity to make the station risk free (or as near to risk free as you can get).

It would be interesting to read the SAG's report that has led to this decision if it is public record (can't see why it isn't).

Yes they should answer the questions.

Don't know. Why, what else do you think they're hiding? I don't think politicians on the whole hide much. Merely stand close to the good news and distance themselves through a combination of denial, ignorance and spin from the bad news. Again CCC don't have the monopoly on this and no I'm not saying that makes it alright.
