I've got a loud voice I think I need to go and just shout and sing all the way through the game about our Coventry homes and ask Tim when we will be returning to the Ricoh. Do you think I would be ejected, arrested, booed or ignored?
To be fair, and strictly in the interest of balance, wasn't the "Portsmouth WTF" thread or whatever it was that lasted over a million pages and was commented on and bumped over and over all about having a go at Pompy for their ability to trade while insolvent, don't seem to remember too much sympathy for them then.
Nick that is such a feeble, piss poor, weak justification for setting foot in a crappy cowshed of a stadium in Northampton to watch Coventry City's home games.
Yes, everyone is entitled to take whatever stance they want on this. They are free to do what they want but please don't attempt to justify attending Sixfields by saying 'Maybe they just want to go and watch a game of football.'
Surely given the dire state of CCFC, even you can see how such a statement will make the majority of fans fume at the selfish, short-sighted attitude of the few.
No he probably wanted to take his son to share quality time and in the hope his son can see him shake Tim Fishers hand.

John, you have an opinion, of course you do. And I will respect that opinion. But sorry, not when you come out with stuff like that.
@ Torchy....Let's get this straight from the get go!....I couldn't give a F**k if you go to Sixfields or not. Infact I couldn't give a F**k if anybody wants to go there. I'm saying that you were going to Sixfields because your son wants to go(No problem at all with that) The problem I've got is you deny using your son as an excuse!.....Didn't take much persuading did it?
another 12 pages of bitching........ FFS people!!!
For the record, i think the original post was a valid question (not sure if it was looking for a dig however) but clearly people who attend the games at 6fields just want to do that, watch the game and leave afterwards. People just need to accept that there will always be a small minority who just want to watch the game and not protest. Personally i now no longer attend, i am fed up of being strung along by our owners but thats my choice so let others get on with their saturday/sunday in peace!!
@ torchomatic......Read again Battery Boy...I've not got a problem that you go and take your son "Good on you" It's the point of DENYING that your excuse to go there is your son!.....PRICK!
It is an opinion. It is also an opinion that nobody other than CCFC fans and the odd hardcore football fan that in general fan really cares about us.
You are wasting your time.
We have seen the difference of Northampton attendees and those that would never go near the place. On the first forum for how this new ground will be the attendees were mainly nodding dogs. The one last night was the total opposite. And from this we found out they are looking at taking our club 6 miles outside Coventry as the crow flies it sounds like.
So you either live in Coventry or close to Coventry but know what supporters of other clubs think, know or feel for our club?
A couple of weeks ago I went to the pub on a Sunday when two games were on at the same time. I met up with my mate who is an AFC Wimbledon fan. I didn't know any of the others. They included Liverpool, Manure, Spurs West Ham and Carlisle fans amongst others. I was talking to my mate about what was happening with our club. Everyone knew at least a bit of what was going on. Most are worried about the way football is going. All agree that the fit and proper test is bullshit. The Manure fan is worried that his club will implode if they don't get into Europe next season. They have seen what has happened to Pompey. They know things are very wrong at our club? Nobody can understand why we are in Northampton or why the FL allowed it. Most of them didn't know anything about it until recently when it reached the media countrywide. Most can't believe that we are not demonstrating at every home game.
We are all meeting up for the game on Friday. BT Sport will hopefully show even more people what has happened to our club and hopefully will put pressure on the FL to do something about the situation.

"Justification" isn't needed. Only you, SBK, SBJ, Astutue, Spion and a myriad of others think it is. Otis is "saddened" by it. Not sure if that's the same thing.
I am saddened by it, Torch. I really wish all the fans could all be united on this.
Can't be bothered to read all the mud slinging over the last 12 pages, but I think the op raises a very good point.
We are all city fans, we all want the club back at the Ricoh, we all hate playing in Northampton.
Now those of us that dont go are protesting by refusing to enter sixfields. It would be nice if those that do go in could stand shoulder to shoulder with the rest of us by doing some sort of protest in the ground? It would help unite the fanbase.
I dont hold with this argument of just wanting to watch a game of football, if that was the case then I can give you a list of half dozen clubs that are closer than Northampton.
Those that still go must have some love for the club. So where is the anger and frustration about what is happening to your club? Why arent you prepared to let it be known that your unhappy about it?
I struggle to understand how some who attend sixfields, after devoting a large part of their life supporting the sky blues, can just watch the club being destroyed without so much of a boo or chant.
If it's worth saving and your plan will work go and boo and chant then.
True, he was probably queued up to shake Gary Hoffman and Joe Elliott's hand too like they were heros. He was probably also at the charity game doing the "worship" actions at Joe Elliott when he walked on the pitch.
Now now. You know very well you cannot ever criticise Sir Hoff and Joe OBE on this site!

My form of protest is to not go. What form of protest do the attendees do?

The only people that mention Hoff or Joe these days are those trying to deflect criticism away from the owners. Not much of an argument, I know, but that's all they've got.
Yes, we should be united. But as you can see it will never happen in a million years.
Your wrong, it happened the other day when everyone was united when that dope 'Big Phil' from Preston came on having a go at us. The problem we have is finding a common ground and what people define as having a go at CCFC. If people feel that Sisu are having a go at Cov fans or CCFC we all should stand together. Maybe if we start a petition to install 'Big Phil' as the next non director of CCFC then we all be united..............
Nobody outside Coventry is interested in our plight, no of course not. The coverage in more than one issue of the Daily Mail, or the Guardian, or various other newspapers, or football sites or Sky Sports, none of it ever happened.
A total absence of CCFC fans from 'home' games would never reach the ears of any media. No, of course not, a Football League club with no fans - nah, never make the news.
The arguments for attending Sixfields from the few are spineless. The nodding dog image is just about right. A nodding dog, wearing a white hanky.
