The sun was out for five minutes earlier, plus it's a Bank Holiday weekend so bound to be a fair amount of outside cooking taking place or planned.

So, are you a charcoal or gas man when it comes to barbecues?

Charcoal all the way. Had a Gas BBQ for a bit but it just didn't taste "BBQey" enough

Charcoal is better I have a gas bbq and haven't used it for at least 5 years.

I bought a GF grill & I am pleasantly surprised. It is actually pretty good. Which is disappointing really as I could've mocked wildy at you for even suggesting a cheesy GF grill lol
Extension lead & a table & chairs is all you need. Simplez

Charcoal. If you're going to cook on gas you've missed the point and may as well cook it in the kitchen before serving it up outside.

Gas or charcoal? makes no difference to the flavour.
gas is much easier to set up and get cooking. Charcoal is a pain in the ass. Ok if you're only doing 1 or 2 during the summer, but if you cook outside every few of nights or so, you'll soon make the switch.
