He could have saved with scorpion kicks been like the Banks save from Pele or spread in Schmeichel way and some would still say yeah but his distributioname ... I still think he's the right man and will be next year when we go up for L1. Older more experienced and confident. We remain lucky to have him imo.

Decent enough for League 2 not good enough for League 1. Are you forgetting he played last season in League 1 and we got relegated? First position that needs upgrading if we get promoted as neither Burge or O'Brien will be good enough for a higher division.

You might as well get rid of Willis, stokes and jodi Jones too then. They got relegated last season too.

I must have a different hi lights package than you I saw one shot which he spilled and just went wide,a shot from twenty five yards which any keeper in the league would have stopped and a shot that hit he post, what is in yours?

You claimed Burge was good enough for league 1 when he isn't. He hasn't looked amazing in this league so where your blind faith in him comes from is a mystery to me.

I’ve only missed 3 games home / away this season and Burge has been phenomenal this year.
Were they the 3 games where he cost us goals with embarrassing goalkeeping or couldn't keep several goal kicks on the pitch despite its obvious width? Phenomenal... really? You are easily pleased.

Well its a bit like this - they have done all the prem chumpionship league 1 Jock 1 and its getting near beer o clock so they copy and paste , change the names and for those not there job done and voila La Leage 2 - its only what they did in the Pink all those years ago when they missed half the game propping up the bar

Never said he was a world beater but he is more than adequate for this league. He also wasn't the reason we got relegated last season, scoring just 37 goals in 46 league games was by far the biggest factor. He played well yesterday, made some vital saves but yes his distribution is poor.

"Blind faith" lol bit extreme.

Yep, kicking apart, he did well.

I'm not at all convinced he will be good enough for League One though.

If we go up I think we need to try and bring in a dominant keeper, who can command the box and has much better distribution skills.

"Barnet Highlights".....never has there been such an oxymoron. Never has a home win spoiled such a perfectly clueless, inept performance as that utter dross I witnessed yesterday.

And I never really understand why, when we're in league 2 and half our outfield players struggle to pass to a teammate, we focus on our keeper's kicking, and expect it to be anything else than what we have.
It’s called using him as a scapegoat... that loads of failed shit Sunday league players berate because they know fook all. They forgot his match winning performance in the cup and the point blank saves in the league he makes every other week, and ( if they paid attention ) the fact that he is on par if not above the keepers in this league, and choose to just slag him for every slight Mis-kick or a corner he doesn’t come for on the Enve of area.
Being a Keeper is one of yer hardest and thankless positions on the pitch.

I sometimes wonder if people go to games or simply base their opinions on other emotive actions. A number of clean sheets, the tightest defensive unit in the league.

I've said it before on here but 25 is still very young for a keeper. You can't buy experience and a promotion should help his confidence too. To judge his L1 form last time (don't forget his save that won at Wembley for us too!) and assume that he wouldn't be good enough if we go up based on form 2 years old when younger and considerably less experienced, is not only unfair but also without foundation.

Apologies if it's been mentioned elsewhere but out of 12 games in L2 on Saturday, we were the only team to win at home! That's incredible...don't think I've ever seen tha!
