Hopefully another 3 points for us! Would be nice to do a job on Chaplin and Thomas. Nothing personal, just playing ex-players spices it up a little bit.

Fancy a win against Barnsley again our style of football will cause them all sorts of problems, does robins start sheaf at cdm after another’s weeks training or stick with the team that started yesterday...Dabo will have another weeks training can only see us getting better & better.

Without wanting to get too negative after winning so well yesterday, but i think we really need the win against Barnsley... the little run after that is tough. A win at Barnsley would boost confidence yet more, and if we can then pick up perhaps a win or couple of draws from the rest of October, we should go into November solidly in contention with mid-table...

I saw Barnsley twice the season they got promoted. Although we took 4 points off of them, they were obviously a very good (League 1) team. They must have improved on that to have survived last season. I read on here that they won only one of their opening 9 games. That would indicate, that to stay up, their form in the remaining 37 games must have been approaching play off standard. Coming to the final run in last season, I know they were still adrift. Their form in the last few games must have been excellent. (I know they were lucky because of Wigan's points deduction). However, surviving in the way that they did suggests that they are far from being 'shite'.

Two games in and only as many sides with a 100% record, there are no rubbish teams apart from maybe Wycombe who look out of their depth so far

That said, they would have gone down all other things being equal.

Hopefully we can become better at the back in this one against a team who haven’t scored yet - scoring 3 goals to win a game isn’t ideal

We've had 28 shots in 2 games so far this season... We take our chances against Barnsley we will win... There should be a few

You’ll be amazed how shite you’re going to play on Saturday. Have a look at the amount of shots teams have against us, and how many they get on target. our results are poor, but our approach to games, and our football isn’t, fortunately for yourselves we can’t take our chances, so you’ll probably beat us 1-0 but don’t expect to create chances at will, and dominate us because it won’t happen.

Beat them and we'll be 6 points ahead of them already. They would have gone down last season if it wasn't for the dodgy stuff at Wigan. Took 4 points off them in League one and two of their main players are ones we had then improved upon. If we're serious about staying up we need to be winning these games to compensate for when we have the inevitable bad patches of form.

They've played the teams that finished 14th and 19th last year and got 0 points, we've played 13th and 12th and got 3.

QPR allowed 6 shots against v Forest, the same Barnsley did against Reading, we had 12 against them. I'm confident we create more chances against their 343 with our shape than the teams they've played so far have.

I just expect us to create chances... And if we take those chances we will win... Fairly balanced view of football tbh.

Leeds, Forest, and Brentford fans thought that going into the last 3 games of last season.
Leeds (A) 6 shots 2 on target.
Forest (H) 8 shots 1 on target.
Brentford (A) 12 shots 3 on target

First two league games this season.

Luton (H) 3 shots 1 on target.
Reading (A) 6 shots 5 on target. But we played half hour with 10 men and 25 minutes with 9 men.

Last season we was the second best pressing side in the league behind Leeds, and finished 5 in the XG table.
Our problem is we’ve sacrificed goal scorers for grafters, so we can press from the front, as a result we can’t take any of the abundance of chances we create.

If you try to play out from the back you’ll struggle to get out of your own half.

Tbh QPR done it Friday but in the end we got to them our full backs will cause all sorts of problems Godden only needs 1 chance

Sounds like a team of Luke Thomases

It sounds like a recipe for disaster if you don’t score much and concede goals in few shots

We’ll see come Saturday, but after 20 minutes, when you’re thinking these can’t keep this up all game, they’ll blow up and get knackered towards end, don’t count on it.

With no end product lol he will do well to out pace Giles...

interesting battle

He plays at the tip of the diamond behind the strikers, grafting not giving players a second on the ball, he doesn’t need to out pace anyone.
