Jones has been unlucky was getting back to more game time as a sub and doing okay in his appearances but I know he was laid low with a nasty bout of covid which put him back so he’s having to start again plenty of games yet so I’ll give him time.

I can only see a home win. We are head and shoulders above this Barnsley team but no doubt we will make it hard for ourselves and will probably be scrappy (pitch conditions).

2-1 City.

Travelling down for this one soon. Don't think it'll be a classic with Hamer missing and general fatigue but we'll win 1-0.

Hadn't realised that Cauley Woodrow was out for them, and probably Callum Styles injured (which is a bonus)

Disagree,I think AV has a massive impact on team selection. I think that the way we play is mainly down to AV and not Robins
I agree totally AV is totally involved in how we play and getting the players prepared for the game Monday to Friday but I think when it comes down to selection MR is in control

Dreamt last night we were winning 4-1 but it was against Man Utd. Hamer scored the fourth but can't remember who scored the others. Unfortunately I woke up after 51 minutes so can't be sure we ended up with 3 points. Hopefully it is an omen for a good first half at least, or maybe it is a message that Hamer is invaluable and so we will not be dominant without him??!

Head says 0-0
Heart 2-0 City win.

Barnsley will be hard to break down and City are not firing on all cylinders, hope I'm proved wrong!

Really can't be arsed today. First time this season I ain't buzzing for it.
Feelings are kind of mutual and undertsand where you're coming from with a tiny bit of apathy but a win today and and we could ...just could...hopefully...go on a run!?

I feel the same, it’s probably the fact I have to go on my own today as mate has Covid and it’s going to piss down all day.

I hope so mate. Seems winter has been here for ages. Maybe time to drop the booze ban and just get twatted and more depressed!

Godden being taken out in such a random way to exclude him from such a thick wedge of fixtures leads me to believe the football gods really don’t want us to do anything.

Weather is awful today which really doesn’t help from an injury perspective either. Scruffy narrow win to inch closer to 50 points and writing off the season proper

I’m dreading Bristol as if we lose I won’t hear the end of it.
I feel your pain, I’ve had to remain stoic a few times since the cardiff game. Unbeknown to me My other half even had a word with her dad…”he didn’t do it to you when Cov won”. He actually apologised.

If/when we beat Cardiff next year I’m basically gonna have my own fucking ticker tape parade in the city centre.

our injury record this season hasn’t been very bad at all - it’s nothing to do with football Gods but poor management decision making

What would Kenny Jackett have done better!?

You mean letting Walker go on loan to Pompey?

Well godden has a poor fitness record anyway and waghorn is an epic fail. We moved Walker out purely because we wanted to sign a player on a long deal - we’ve reduced our wage bill in tbe short term to buy Bidwell in the long term

I’m on about this very specific freak injury

I heard it on good authority that Godden asked to go to the toilet during training and MR refused. That screwed up Matty’s routine and so then he didn’t go for three days. Consequently faeces was able to back up and bacteria entered his digestive tract resulting in the condition. Sorry but this one is on MR.

I don’t think I disagree. In addition A rejuvenated Shipley at LWB makes the decisions all the stranger. Stranger still is playing Shipley back in AM.
It doesn’t feel like this is just with the benefit of hindsight.

Load of tosh.
Walker wanted away and was being disruptive. Walker wages used to fund Bidwell.
Where does bad management come into it.

The whole thinking was short term. Deny cash plus Shipley’s wages because of two performances then wonder why we’re as toothless as ever in attacking midfield when he plays there

Well isolating Walker and signing Bidwell for a start.
