Agreed. One of few positives to take out of today's game was his performance.

It was a super strike. The technique was superb, just stroked it towards the corner. So often you see players at this level try and lash it from there and the ball ends up flying into the crowd.

Thought he was very good, was the big positive for me today and was my MOTM, second half he looked tired and his performance dipped.

Out of the two home games i have watched so far, he has been the one who has impressed me the most. Great control and skill, good pass and wonderful shot as displayed today. Think we really have a gem with Barton and hope he continues to impress

Great player! Anyone else made the comparison/resemblance to Kaka? Haha! The hair, the height and the way he runs and dribbles with his hair bouncing along just remind me so much of him. Obviously a watered down version should we say!

Jennings was MOTM for me. Barton was good but not completely over the 90 minutes, finish was a beat though!

Jennings was excellent throughout and picked up where others faltered throughout
