Last week I took a piss after the game and got riled listening to everyone moan about how poor we were.

This week I took a piss after the game and got riled listening to everyone go on about how refreshing the performance was!

I thought in comparison to last week, we were poor today. We had one or two flashes in the first half (and took our chances during this period) but other than that it was a nervy, backs to the wall performance.

Reflecting at this point it seems harsh that Pressley lost his job. The game actually panned out very similarly to last week: similar lineup and substitutions, similar scoreline. Our defence looked similarly solid last week until Pennington's moment of madness and, but for the injury to Stokes, we may have seen exactly the same team finish the game.

Anyway the big difference was the scoreline, and that always puts a different slant on things. We are where we are and lets hope we bring Mowbray or Rosler in on Monday to keep building. PUSB

He lost his job due to many many months of poor performances and results. Not just on the Sheffield result. So it wasn't harsh in the slightest.

if we were that poor every week and won he wouldn't have been sacked.

Sometimes you need to hear a different voice as they were not listening to the Scottish one anymore

SP may well have got a win today managing and directing that team.

Long term, how we played today will not get us anywhere.

Aye, can't argue with any of the stats. Just reflecting on the last two results.

In your third para..talking about flashes, I thought you were still reflecting on having your piss...then backs to the wall, I thought it was a different forum.:):)

Joking aside, last week somehow felt like a loss and today doesn't quite seem like a win.

Probably because I bet 2-1 and 3-1 respectively. Least my cover win bet saved me today.

Glad of the 4 points though. PUSB

You are easily aroused Steve.

You're right about this though:

Four points against two of the best sides in the league is a decent haul and gives us a solid base to push on from.

SP's departure sad & gutted, he was so close to turning the corner, for the better.

Eventually my club will have to start looking at the bigger picture & the longer term (unfortunately we haven't done so for the past 14yrs or so) during which time the only difference in changing manager was Mark Robins who was lured away for treble his wages! No brainer and wasn't in charge long enough to make a serious judgement on his tennier.

The difference between success and failure is so slim and judging by our record since the dissmissal of Gordon Strachan in 2002 is appauling and not something to be proud of (we give our managers less than 100 games & 2 yrs).

Another short term fix won't benefit long term IMHO!

Best of Luck in the future Steven, convinced you'll manage in the Premiership. Neil did you proud today many thanks to you both.

Yes he was promised the world when we move to our new ground, unfortunately even Sisu could't wait that long.

By the way when is your club moving there.

You really are crazy Rfc. What have you seen that no one else have that suggests sp was turning things around? Seriously now! What specific things have you seen in the last 7 games without a win including one where we played against 10 men for over 70 mins and were 2-0 up 10 minutes to play?

Please don't just say Pusb, if you can give me one tangible thing I will reconsider everything
