I bet you clapped and cheered Hamer too in the corner didn’t you?
Nah. I live in the USA so unfortunately wasn't present in stadium. I wouldn't have cheered Hamer though so an oddly off base assumption on your part regrettably.

I appreciate your dig though. I think it's the first one I've gotten here in about a decade. So maybe I'll return to my lair and make only non controversial posts again.

Every other team in the league do the same against us.

I'm fed up of thinking we are above stuff and seeing it done against us week in week out.
Too right the days of sportsmanship went ages ago we’ve always been too weak and had it done against us , great to see one of ours do it .

Im not a fan of it in general but we can't take some big moral stance and not do it when everyone else does. So on the basis that we're going to do it I'm all for having someone who is good at it and seem to have them on a string
Yeah, but you just know we're all going to absolutely hate it the next time it's done to us don't you. 🤪

100% milked it. As @Otis said it’s totally unnecessary as the offence is worth a red anyway.

Got a long way to go for convincing of his actual footballing ability though.

Great to see us giving it out. He just needs to calm it down a little as refs will be looking for it now. Possibly cut out the diving and the back chat to the ref just to ensure he doesn't talk himself into a red. But we have had it done to us a number of times over the years so nice to see us capable of dishing some out

He’s a young lad that’s full of energy and fire for the game he clearly loves - I’m not adverse to the ‘dark arts’ in football, as I was partial to them myself, albeit more psychological and a cynical trip or studs down the calf occasionally.

If he gives us that combative, ‘f**k you’ flavour up front, I’m all for it. As long as he doesn’t take it too far, which it was bordering on today.

If he’s mentored correctly, this lad will be a top, top player.

In his final post match interview Robins said something like we should be dabbling in the dark arts as every other club seems to. Norm was listening. Good on him.

SUFC Forum obviously not happy but going OTT saying he's a marked man and one even said they hoped he get an ACL injury. Ridiculous thing to say, especially as one of their players has just suffered one.

He's a little fucker, but there's so much more to his game than acting the bollox.
There's so much aggression and intent in his play.
He'll go for big money in a few years.

The best thing about his performance today aside from the shithousery was his consistent ability to get into great positions on the shoulder of the centre backs and on the half turn. If he gets some more time in the team and the likes of Torp and Eccles are able to get the ball into those channels a bit quicker, he’ll get plenty of chances. I would like to see him and Sakamoto get some minutes together, no one sees a ten yard pass on the edge of the box better than Tatsu does.

He has more guile and nous than Simms and almost the same number of goals scored in very limited action.

Where's this idea come from that the dark arts are on the increase and everyone's doing it so we need to join in?
This kind of stuff was way more prevalent in the past, and thankfully you see less of it now with cameras everywhere etc.
Quite amusing i guess to see Bassette get the guy sent off, but I really can't get all excited about it like a kid. It was obviously to our advantage today, but he's brought a lot of attention on himself now, and if he keeps pushing his luck it might go the other way with Norman off the pitch.

Edit: his footballing performance was fantastic, such a great prospect.

Haha, this sums their fans up. The years of Billy Sharpe acting like the biggest bellend on the planet are obviously already forgotten I guess
