Calista- As much as I want to blame everything on the owners I believe that you are pointing the finger in the wrong direction on this occasion.
By the way I am in the same situation as you regarding tickets but surely this is not about customer relations as they have prioritized their loyal fans and their friends and families? It is correct that the deserving season ticket holders that are sorted out first.
You are right that the occasional match goers and the lapsed are at the back of the queue and may miss out but that is the chance you take if you are not a season ticket holder. You can't blame the owners for not focusing on those that don't go. By definition somebody who has wavered is not a real supporter.
Also wait until we know what the ticket situation is come early March as there may be enough tickets to go around and then nobody can complain.
Not calling you anything, don't know you and not pointing any finger at any individual, just stating the definition of a real supporter is someone that is not wavering but steadfastly loyal.I have not been a ST holder for many years, and to a great degree have become disenchanted over the last few years. I still attend a few games a season, mostly away. I take issue with being labelled as being "not a real supporter"
If I don't get a ticket then so be it, but I don't have to prove my love for my club to anybody
Thanks for defining "real supporter" for us all.just stating the definition of a real supporter is someone that is not wavering but steadfastly loyal.
We will have to disagree on your definition of wavering. Not calling you anything, don't know you and not pointing any finger at any individual, just stating the definition of a real supporter is someone that is not wavering but steadfastly loyal.
I certainly wavered during the sixfields debacle and found myself very much falling out of love with something that was a major part of my life.
I don't expect to jump any queue or feel any sense of injustice and certainly don't blame the owners for looking after their stakeholders.
Look, I know some people haven't be able to go. Distance, work etc, but those closer to home, those who could have gone, why didn't they go to the Brighton match? Why not the Wycombe match?
It was just 2 games from Wembley that Brighton game.
For the Wycombe match, a win and Wembley beckoned. Yet, we had under 12,000 there.
Had we got 30,000 there or 10,000 for the Brighton game then so many people wouldn't be so desperately begging for tickets now.
The Brighton game attendance was just 2,085. Now over 40,000 seemingly want Wembley tickets.
I have an ST and I didn't feel the buzz of his competition until Brighton. When that game came up I got dead excited. Like I say, it was just 2 wins from Wembley.
Was so, so disappointed with the turnout for that. It was very, very low. Really thought that was the game for people to jump aboard the bandwagon.
I really hope everyone who wants a ticket gets one, but I do think there are many fans who could have taken the opportunity to give themselves a much better chance of obtaining one quite a while back.
Brighton was the turning point for me. I don't quite understand why hardly anyone else felt the same and thought 'Hey, we might be on to something here.'
Exactly.alot of these ST holders tickets will be going to people who support city and go see them once evry 5 games etc though. so its possible priority 3 and general sale wont be as busy as we normally expect
Tbf it was and is the Mickey Mouse cup.Look, I know some people haven't be able to go. Distance, work etc, but those closer to home, those who could have gone, why didn't they go to the Brighton match? Why not the Wycombe match?

I tend to agree. Might be wrong, but I do think pretty much everyone will get one.I hope we do sell 40k plus - but am I the only one who's thinks we won't? This is the initial rush and then inner it will calm down. I honestly think everyone on here who isn't a ST holder will get in.
You'll miss most of it needing the Loo.£239 per ticket?
A bloody bargain. Includes beer until an hour after the game. At London prices inside an arena I think that I could give it a shot of watching the game for free :emoji_owl:
It is a tin pot cup. I also think there was the protest element to the earlier rounds. If SISU get anything out of this it should be that success in whatever form is good for the bank balance. The club also needs Generations to come.Tbf it was and is the Mickey Mouse cup.
Personally I have been fortunate being an ST but have lapsed attending since November due to the experience of being up there in that dead Arena.
I may have seemed cantankerous with my attitude towards attending for this competition.
To me one of the reasons those attendances were so low was down to the 'competition',many fans have been critical of its format and 'status'.
Difficult for the Club to approach maybe, but they didn't market it and seemed happy to settle for 2K, with just the one stand open.
You may remember me ranting about not being able to sit in my own seat on the opposite side of the ground.
Seems I'm going to be there Saturday though as my Grandson asked me If I could take him.
Exactly and that protest doesn't t seem to extend to a Wembley finalWhilst I get you point, tickets for the Brighton game would only give similar priority to people attending any home game this season, if things go that far it will more than likely sell out by then if it continues like this. I agree with you on the Wycombe game (I didn't attend as I was in Prague) but I think there was an almost universal boycott around the country of U21 teams in protest at them being in the competition.
Exactly and that protest doesn't t seem to extend to a Wembley final
I personally don't feel entitled (to anything in life ), and as stated if I don't get a ticket then so be it.I didn't use the definition but responded to calista
I certainly understand there are reasons that you alluded to and what infuriates me is entitlement
We're not Otis and you know that.We can't just assume it is 1 ST holder and then 5 who hardly ever go, or don't go at all.
Agree - ST holders should, of course, get priority. God knows they've helped keep the club going through dark times. I was born in Cov and lived there until the age of 11. I now live over 500 miles and a ferry or plane trip away, so attendance is very limited, but still much anticipated. Have followed the club's fortunes (!) from a distance for all of my adult life, which spans their perennial struggles in the old 1st division/premier league and their fall from grace. Many wonderful memories and players, none more so than the magical Hutch. Hooked on a cold midweek night long ago at HR, when Wolves were put to the sword and Hutch and Wallace put on a masterclass. We now stand on the brink of the L2 abyss with the club's very survival in question. I'm going to Wembley come what may but will have to take my chances of getting the two tickets I want if and when they go on general sale. Might end up watching the game in a nearby pub, but I'm keeping my fingers crossed. I sincerely hope that all those who follow the mighty Sky Blues get the chance to celebrate in style. Enjoy the day everyone. PUSB.But he's not saying that the season ticket holders shouldn't be sorted out first is he? Rather, giving season ticket holders a massive SIX tickets each, which if utilised absorbs 90% of our allocation, and most likely means people who have not been to a city match in years and crucially, will not go for many years to come after this, is a pie in the face for those non-ST fans who attend matches when they can and are more likely to be "tempted" back!
Rather than be clever and use the opportunity to repair the fanbase, again they've cocked it up and just gone for sales. I know it might look like im just bitter and bitching about not getting a ticket yet, but I'd feel the same way about it if i was a ST holder.
Brighton was the turning point for me. I don't quite understand why hardly anyone else felt the same and thought 'Hey, we might be on to something here.'
You could get some of those Billy Connolly incontinence trousers! You'll miss most of it needing the Loo.
Mate, with a tale like that to tug at the heart strings, I'm sure there'll be plenty who'd give you their spares.Agree - ST holders should, of course, get priority. Thanks Offenham. There must be plenty of exiles such as myself who hold the club dear to their hearts and want to be a part of a special day. This sort of opportunity might not come calling again for a long, long time. Whilst I don't expect to be high up in the pecking order, I'll be pretty fucking cheesed off if supporters of other clubs get tickets from Cov's allocation and I don't! . Just to add, whenever I'm back in Englandshire, I do try to get to see the team. Over the years I have been to quite a few league games. Last season I had the misfortune to watch two dire performances, vs fleetwood at ricoh and barnsley the following midweek away. Most recent highlight was in amongst the crawley home crowd at the last game couple of season's ago - maddison came on 2nd half and turned the game in our favour and ensured L1 status for another year.Mate, with a tale like that to tug at the heart strings, I'm sure there'll be plenty who'd give you their spares.

And Lutons the more winable tiethis cup has never sold out
luton and oxford have both been in the final before - luton took 40000 and oxford 33000 last year
I think luton would take the same again, and therefore no spare allocation - oxford were there last year, so i would expect their numbers to decrease
so i think luton and tickets may be hard to come by, but oxford there will be plenty left
I respect your opinion riyadhsktblue, I just think the balance is all wrong. For me, Wingy has it right. He’s starting from the point of how many tickets would be needed to give general fans (who can prove their attendance at relevant matches) a fair crack of the whip i.e. one ticket each, and work back from there to see if it’s doable. He’s very roughly worked out that ST holders could still get a more than adequate allowance of 2 or 3 each, which feels about right. Instead, a mere 3,500 ST holders took every single seat in the best areas on day one (at the expense by the way even of other ST holders who weren’t IT-savvy or quick enough on the draw!). Most importantly for me, no mechanism whatsoever has been put in place to prioritise genuine supporters when the next stage of the sale comes around.Calista- As much as I want to blame everything on the owners I believe that you are pointing the finger in the wrong direction on this occasion.
