How many saves does Wilson make where you'd expect a professional goalkeeper not to?
In Bardia's cafe Stratford this morning with his next door neighbour, Alan, ( who he befriended when he first moved here) and another City player (think it may have been Dausch - but not a first teamer). I wasn't going to bother him, but my wife walked up to them as we were leaving and said 'my husband's a Coventry fan, and is too polite to bother you, but I'm not!' I just said 'hi, see you at Preston' to which Ben replied 'not many happy trips up there'. Told him that I didn't want to miss the first win there. End of boring story! That said, they spent the whole half hour I was in there talking football (not CCF stuff).
I have a bias towards him based on him seeming a genuinely nice person, coupled with him having a positive personality (which I would imagine adds to the dressing room atmosphere). I don't mind him as a keeper, either, as I don't see him as being any less of a keeper than the other two (albeit Dovin may have more potential).Hopefully we won’t be seeing him at Preston
Dovin is the future , Wilson makes too many basic mistakes , was poor for Leeds 2 and 3 Rd goals and out of position for Wednesday's 1 st goal.I have a bias towards him based on him seeming a genuinely nice person, coupled with him having a positive personality (which I would imagine adds to the dressing room atmosphere). You can say the same for Dovin to be fair. How many saves does Wilson make where you'd expect a professional goalkeeper not to?
Although one has a pool of about 5 games and the other probably over 100You can say the same for Dovin to be fair.

But still barely made any saves of note during that season. The point is we know Wilson isn't very good, Dovin could be the same, but none of us know that yet.If you want to go down that line, Wilson got golden glove previously.
He was very well protected, to be fair to him he upgraded from useless to mediocre. It's a stand out season for him in his career, he quickly reverted to being hopeless again. But still barely made any saves of note during that season. Really, please tell us which goals Dovin was at fault for ?
fucking hell ben, just what every fan wants to hear from a playerI just said 'hi, see you at Preston' to which Ben replied 'not many happy trips up there'.
Talk about twisting a conversation and putting a nasty slant on it. He was just being polite, having a coffee with his old neighbour, and comes across as a thoroughly nice lad. Just because he knows about our record up there, that makes him an absolute mug?fucking hell ben, just what every fan wants to hear from a player
"You're going to the match Saturday? Haha, we always lose there and will do again you absolute mug."
It's not an agenda to not want a dogshit keeper in the net for the team you support mate. It's common sense. Our fans are selective in who they blame. Wilson has made a couple of mistakes, but people go on as if he was at fault for every single goal. Dovin has let in a lot of goals, but 'none of the goals were his fault'. If it were Wilson in nets for those games you can be absolutely sure as shit he would get some of the blame for them.
I am not even saying Wilson is good and the best choice, just simply highlighting that Dovin has shown nothing that makes him levels above. Those with an agenda are frothing at the mouth to have a go though.
I think both were insinuating that you’re the mug.Talk about twisting a conversation and putting a nasty slant on it. I just find it odd that a player’s response to hearing you were going to the game was to mention how often we lose there.Talk about twisting a conversation and putting a nasty slant on it. As someone who doesn't rate his ability at all, I think you are looking way too deep into it. It's just a general conversational remark. For all of my criticism of Wilson, I would back what Sky Blue Harry H has to say in that I've seen him dozens of times in Bardia's and he comes across as a genuinely great bloke and someone you want to do well but sadly he isn't up to being a Championship keeper.I just find it odd that a player’s response to hearing you were going to the game was to mention how often we lose there.
Well generally I hate it when fans try to play amateur psychologist on the players. But in this case, if your first thought about an upcoming game is losing there previously it’s hardly a good sign is it.As someone who doesn't rate his ability at all, I think you are looking way too deep into it. That's cheered me up mateI think both were insinuating that you’re the mug.
