As mentioned on another thread, I haven't been particularly blown over by Bidwell (although very, very early days) but I must say, I find it really harsh that he is getting some of the blame apportioned here. First;y, it was JCS' man:

Bidwell has to cover Crooks (25) and Jones (35 bottom of the screen) with no support whatsoever. By the time JCS commits to the ball, around the below screenshot:

Bidwell is left in an almost impossible situation. He has to gamble as he is covering three players. He has anticipated (rightly in my opinion) that JCS should be able to block or intercept the cross to 11 (Sporar), the eventual goal scorer. If he had got sucked in, Balogun could well have pulled back to Crooks or Jones who are completely unmarked and people would be saying 'Bidwell got sucked in!'.

He had to gamble because there was zero defensive support (arguably from Shipley with Crooks) so to blame him is very harsh.
