Just seen this on Twitter.

Wonder how many DMs we lost on out in the summer. Least it’s another ambitious attempt. Hopefully we have one lined up for January.

Always said in the summer fans don't really know who we have tried to sign?. Also you don't know if a deal is set up for the next window?

If you really target someone it can take two or even three windows - it takes more than a phone call folks!

Seems an odd rumour to come out 2 months after the transfer window. Not sure if he's injured or not but he's only been in their squad a couple of times so far this season.

Odd. 'Recoup some of their investment' implies he has been a complete flop but he has still got minutes in the Europa league this season so can't be that far off the first team.

Another one who probably thinks that he’s too good for The Championship.

Which also makes the lack of use of the loan market even more indefensible as they had clearly identified where we were weak.
We did go for one Tbf on deadline but think they got injured.

Don’t think the loan rule is as tight fisted as it’s stated considering we had two loans last year and went for a couple this year (Forest CB and a CM)

This along with Stamenic puts to bed the narrative that Robins/the club didn't want to strengthen midfield and were happy with what we had.
This is always the thing. People talk about transfers like we decide who we want and that's it, they will sign.

If we end up short in a position it's always because Robins & the recruitment team are clueless or King won't pay. Never because we've tried to make signings and they haven't come off for whatever reason.

That’s part of the job though.

Our recruitment has let us down two windows running with the failure to sign a winger in Jan and a centre mid this summer.

So say we agreed a deal and it fell through on deadline day. Are we meant to rush a signing in just to appease some moaning fans?
Exactly and if we rushed out and bought anyone just to have a body in those same people would be moaning about signing players who aren't top quality

Sometimes people at our club just can't win with some people. They are trying to bring in players to improve us. You can't force players to join us. But if they would have brought someone in to make the numbers up the same people complaining about lack of signings would be complaining about bringing in below par players.

Think most balanced folk knew we had tried - we don’t know if this was the deadline day one do we?
Also think bigger frustration with midfield is we have had issue since Hamer left, 18 months ago and to not address still is frustrating- we’ve certainly had time (granted couple fallen through)

Anyway, confident we will have something for January.
