Actually, believe it or not, just got the best present ever.
My pen friend bought me a movie poster. Best 100 movies. It's a poster with 100 films on and you are supposed to scratch off the ones you have seen.
Might not seem that much in itself, but her note was that we watch them all in turn, one by one, at the same time.
I thought that was truly lovely.
What a great choice of present - the holiday I mean. Any limits? I.E. UK or abroad? Not that it should matter. It's an original Christmas present! My parents have just said that they will pay for a family holiday for us next year.
A bmx was a great present when I was about 10
Yeah, but not so good if THEY insist on choosing the holiday and it's Palestine. What a great choice of present - the holiday I mean. Any limits? I.E. UK or abroad? Not that it should matter. It's an original Christmas present!

I have that same book BBR. Written by Carl Chinn. Brilliant read. Bought it a few weeks ago.My sister always gets me some nice presents and this year one that stands out is the book : Peaky Blinders- The Real Story, about notorious gangs in Birmingham in the past. Already started on it and learnt that the Peaky Blinders gang never put blades in their caps to slash rivals etc, that is a myth. They were brutal though as were other gangs especially around Digbeth !
Still on the right side of the earth, BBR! Yep, I agree with the gangs in the late 1800's. They would attack coppers and anyone who stood in their way. I found it strange reading about "coin tossing". We used to play that in school but called it "Nearest the Wall". Many a breaktime was spent playing this in the playground!Hope you're well Houch. I've been rough for a few days so decided to stay in and have ended up reading 2 books that my sister bought me. The Peaky Blinders one is a cracking read, bloody hell were those gangs vicious bastards. And half way through another great book by Mark Billingham the ex SAS bloke. He's from Walsall and some interesting stories from a colourful life, makes up from the shit on the telly. My son wants to borrow both books. As long as I get them back !
I'll never forget my first mountain bike. My grandad bought me a Raleigh Activator. Heavy and clumsy as fuck, but I loved it because it had front shock absorbers hahaAlways loved my bike Christmas presents tbh, I had Raleigh Burner (which I think was second hand and reconditioned), then my first 'Mountain' Bike.
Also used to often get a new football at christmas, a Mitre one usually and would be out on the field playing before Christmas Dinner.
Give me those over a computer any day and I'm of the PlayStation generation
Can't think of anything, sorry, MMJ.
Nice presents, but nothing ever outstanding or amazing.
Worst presents were the ones my brother used to buy. He used to buy me an Hawaiian shirt every year for about 10 years. I just used to hand them straight to charity shops.
Worst present I ever heard of ever, was a mate of mine. His missus got him a toilet roll, because she said he was full of shit.
Imagine unwrapping a Christmas present only to find it is a toilet roll.
Our family don't do much in the year so tend to splash out at Xmas after saving up for 12 months through Xmas clubs etc.Always loved my bike Christmas presents tbh, I had Raleigh Burner (which I think was second hand and reconditioned), then my first 'Mountain' Bike.

Does the bean to coffee machine taste much different? Would like one but not sure about justifying price
I was drinking using ground beans an a filter machine before so hard to tell TBH. The coffee is definitely better and you get the cream on top cos it’s a proper espresso machine. There’s definitely more of the oil in freshly ground beans. Do what I did and get a cheap grinder and see if it makes the difference. I probably wouldn’t have got it if it wasn’t a present though, love it now mind.
Is that an Nespresso machine or similar brand? They do make a belter cup of coffee like.
What machine have you got? I'm moving house soon and a machine is my moving in gift to myself. I don't wanna spend a fortune, saw a De Longhi one sub £300 which looks goodBean to cup coffee machine this year for me. Definitely my most used present.
Special mention to the CCFC badly drawn panini poster I got. These guys: https://twitter.com/cheappanini just need to find the best place for it now.
Word of warning, bought a hoverboard for my eldest from thehoverboard.uk and it was her favourite present. For a day, before it stopped working. Then I went to the TrustPilot reviews for the site and it’s full of people like me that got in on a Black Friday deal and have been messed about. Currently arguing with them over email. Stay well away.
