Sorry, what was the question?
David Speedie.
Am I missing something? Who the hell’s Daylight? Why hasn’t Moonlight been considered?
Statistically the best keeper we ever had?David Speedie.
Better than Stephen Hughes?Statistically the best keeper we ever had?
That could be Stephen HughesStatistically the best keeper we ever had?
Just beat me to it!Better than Stephen Hughes?
I could have played in goal vs Walsall and vs Rochdale and kept a clean sheet. They were crap and Stockdale had an easy few games.Special cameo mention to David Stockdale. He looked absolutely class in his short time with us.
Just beat me to it!

Yep i remember this too...was a young kid, and i sat about 6 rows back behind the goal, and he turned and picked the ball out of the net with a massive smile on his face and laughed...not popularFull on Bell end.....recall him laughing to the west end after letting a goal in v West Ham
From my viewpoint Tommy - it seemed to me that Stockdale gave our defence immediate confidence when he was here. Defenders knew he was going to dominate the crosses and also that his distribution was first class. Stockdale's ability and confidence rubbed off on the whole team. Just the way I saw it - all about opinions and Stockdale was only here for a short time as you say.
Oggy
Hedman
Westwood
Blyth
Sealey
They were all ok , Jim Blyth was a bit clumsy at Scotland , ok in firstDivision though

Jim Blyth was criminally under used by Scotland. More so when you consider Alan Rough was picked ahead of him. Now he really was clumsy!!
Not saying he wasn't a solid keeper but anyone who replaced Burge would look good. From my viewpoint Tommy - it seemed to me that Stockdale gave our defence immediate confidence when he was here. Ah,but you didn’t say he was statistically the best! You were both too slow!
Beat me to it - by about 8 hours.Les Sealey!!!!!! Is this a wind up?
I think even George Wood managed to get ahead of JB a few times.Jim Blyth was criminally under used by Scotland. More so when you consider Alan Rough was picked ahead of him. Now he really was clumsy!!
He was good. Organised the defence well etc. But had about three shots to save in those two games combined.
Correct. Imagine blyth Wallace and hutch today. They would walk into the current Scotland team. They did have some decent outfield players back in the day howeverI think that's absolutely right Legia. Around that era I think there was a conspiracy theory about Scottish based players being favoured.
Clayton Ince
I seem to remember we signed him up based upon his performance against us vs Crewe in the FA Cup, he was immense that day and they beat us 1-0.
He was always immense against us. I think I remember correctly, he was the same when we played them last season at Highfield Road. Dean Ashton scored, we spent the rest of the game battering their goal and he kept everything out, diving around like Superman on drugs, saving everything at full stretch. One of the finest performances I'd seen from an opposition Goalkeeper.
I didnt really see Bill (only the very end of his career) but Oggy better than Blyth? youre having a laugh! This best goalkeeper comes up regularly, there are two, Bill Glazier and Steve Ogrizovic who stand way ahead of all the others. As for who was the best of those two not a fag paper between them, if pushed though I would go for good old Bill.
