As well as being completely unfunny, Russel Howard seems like such a drip.

He was on Saturday kitchen once and he was going on about how he doesn't eat carbs and how he was straight edged. He also didn't seem to be able to be naturally funny or off the cuff. He'd just gurn and make repeat things while making his accent stronger.

He's probably one of those comedians who hire people to write "additional material" for his stand up.
