House of the dragon and the latest walking dead episodes were both very good , interesting development with the walkers

I really wasn't expecting much with House of the Dragon, but it has been absolutely brilliant imo.
Hoping we don't lose all the intrigue once the war starts.

Can't say the same for the Rings of Power though, I think it's a bit of a mess

I wasn't expecting the foot scene

My one bugbear is how all the children in the early episodes have now grown into full adults. The full grown adults are so much older and greyer and balder and weaker and yet, Sir Christon hasn't changed at all or aged a bit in all those years. He looks exactly the same.

🤷

Just finished The Old Man. It was OK but the 2 main twists were easy to spot towards the end and the storyline a little far-fetched.

Christ, is the walking dead still going?

How many times have they made a camp, got themselves safe and somebody leaves a gate open?

42, 38 and 12. 👍

It's limping home. Sticking with it for the big finale.

I was drifting away from it but now it's paywalled behind Disney+ that's my excuse to stop watching and just check in to see how it ends.

Can't believe a show that seemed to be losing its appeal is having so many spinoffs though, is there really such an appetite for a Walking Dead 'universe' in that way?

Finished Only Murders S2, still warm cost enjoyable nonsense and really enjoyed the finale, but same issue with who the killer was as S1, just no hints and it’s someone out there blue who has given themselves away for no reason.

My iffy fire stick has 24/7 Alan partridge and billy Connolly Channels. Apart from the city games and a few other bits I don’t think I’ll watch normal telly again

TV series’: Any Scandinavian noir, such as Wallander, The Killing (extraordinary), The Bridge and I recommend watching Jø Nesbø’s Headhunters movie.

I’ve been through every war film on Netflix and to be honest, I was impressed with Mission of Honor, the film based on the 303rd Squadron of Polish Pilots from WWII.

I have also enjoyed The Last Kingdom on Netflix.

The Chestnut Man was a pretty good Nordic Noir if you've not already seen it

Enjoyed Friday Night Live last night. Did make me wonder why Ben Elton has totally disappeared off our screens, he was bang on form. In fact all the old crew were on form and it was great seeing Stavros and Loadsamoney, anyone of the younger generation watching were probably oblivious about how huge those characters were back in the day.

Wasn't overly impressed with the new generation tbh, apart from Mawaan Rizwan. But I guess that's kind of the point, that would have been exactly what people my age were saying about the likes of Elton, Enfield, Brand and Clary when the show originally aired.

Yes, I watched that, it was pretty dark wasn’t it? The characterisations were brilliant.
I meant to see if there’s a second series, or if it was a standalone series.

Last episode of House of the Dragon.
Overall really enjoyed the series. Took a while to establish characters and links but was more about intrigue and deception rather than battle action. All set up nicely for series 2.

Yep thought it was brilliant.

Said in an earlier comment but really hope we don't lose all of the plotting and politics next series for the sake of CGI battles.
Where Game of thrones fell down imo

Young Wallander on Netflix, a spin off that’s not chronologically consistent (as Kurt Wallander was probably in his late 20s in the 1970s) but nevertheless, a decent watch. Grim in places, but definitely a softer Noir feel.

I binge watched it over 5 days, as I’m off sick at work. 🙄
