Ooh, adult entertainment stuff, eh. Don't you think the squelching noises might be a bit too much in Dolby Atmos surround sound with bass boost?

Very tempted to stick PornHub on it now, the missus is on lates today 🤔

Blast from the past but just rewatched Flashforward from 2009. I was talking TV with my boss and randomly remembered it. I've been working away for 3 weeks so it gave me something to do in the evenings.

The script and acting can be a bit shit but I actually really enjoyed it. Decent premise, some good twists and cliff hangers, worked well as something to binge and not overthink. I've ordered the book it was based on off the back of it.

ah yeah, I remember Flashforward that was good at the time, that got me thinking about that channel zero programme for some reason, that was another mad programme

Finally got round to watching Top Gun: Maverick last night.... Bloody marvellous

Yeah, I really liked it too. Bit far fetched at the end, but a great watch.

Finished Bad Sisters, ending was pretty good and kept me guessing if a little too neat for my liking. Worthwhile watch overall though with some great character acting.

Watched the new Puss in Boots with the kids and it was an enjoyable family romp with the odd bit of animation styling away from the cookie cutter Pixar look which I appreciated and wish they’d done more with. Into The Spiderverse showed what animation can be if you’re not always trying to be Pixar and really benefitted from it.

Went to see Knock at the Cabin, the new M. Night Shyamalan film at the showcase yesterday. A lot more straightforward than I thought it would be but enjoyed it. Dave Bautista is a good actor in a more serious role

The Forgotten Battle on Netflix. A great war movie from different perspectives.

No spoilers, but thought 'Happy Valley' season 3 was superb.
If Sarah Lancaster doesn't win awards for some brilliant acting, then I'll be stunned.
No spoilers: I thought it was great right up to the final episode. why did they rush everything so much? The B plots were basically concluded in a line of dialog. Worst of all they randomly introduced that thing about the teacher with no groundwork. The flashback they used looked like a massive retcon. almost as if they panicked and added it in post.

Yeah, fair point. I still loved it, but things in the series that were well covered and seemingly important, were very quickly filed away at the end weren't they

Yeah, it was a bit shit.

They got all the way to the end and thought "we had best clear some of this stuff up".

It obviously leaves it open for another series.

Watched the 3rd last of us, can't see what all the hype was about? "Best tv episode of the year" etc. What?

It was alright. But I’m not on board with this horse shit idea that the series will be dancing with the big boys at the top: Breaking Bad, The Sopranos, Band of Brothers, The Wire, etc..

my main issue was the PE teachers story wrap up. Seemingly out of the blue he is noncing boys in his care? Bit of a weird throw away line. There is a badly edited flashback put in where it makes it look like he is checking out the lad as he walks away but did feel to me like they panicked when he had been set up as a wife beater but would not get punished as he didn't kill her. It's like they thought that wouldn't go down well so they retconned that strory and tagged it on. Very odd

I watched the first episode of Bad Sisters last night... Not sure what I thought of it tbh.

Looking forward to S3 of You starting this week on Netflix

Its not the best thing I’ve watched on ATV, but very watchable. The missus was more invested than me mind.

Well I thought bit was excellent. Beautifully played out.

The first two episodes I liked but wasn't wowed by them. The third one I thought was top notch.
Yeah I really liked it, nice to see a 'non conventional' love story given proper screen time.

That said, as a Parks and rec fan Bill being so like Ron Swanson was jarring to begin with!

Worked though as the charecter was repressed and learning stuff. The awkwardness added to it.

Anyone seen Minx on Paramount + ?

it’s funny

it’s one you can watch with the other half (but not the kids….) but…. If you have “size“ concerns in the dick dept, don’t let her watch it, you’ll regret it :ROFLMAO: (I was fine with my wife watching it though…. :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:)

Has the English girl from Elementary in it too which is a bonus.
