They were taking the piss out of twist and shout. No clue why because we’ve sung it for years and our rendition today was the loudest song sang
Shame it was a short rendition compared to usual.

Hmm, that's not even funny or witty, and here's now where I go into a tirade about how their unofficial anthem has no relevance to them, their nearest rival is in League Two, the atmosphere at their ground is tepid at best, and they're bankrolled by a scummy industry that pray on the addicted and vulnerable.Taking the piss out of twist and shout
To be honest it’s that last one that bothers me the most. Able to spend obscene amounts in this league every season because they’re better at exploiting addicts than most others.Hmm, that's not even funny or witty, and here's now where I go into a tirade about how their unofficial anthem has no relevance to them, their nearest rival is in League Two, the atmosphere at their ground is tepid at best, and they're bankrolled by a scummy industry that pray on the addicted and vulnerable.
I am a very bitter individual, apologies
They were doing that to my lad and I as we walked past them. Even then the U10s.Taking the piss out of twist and shout
I had a random exchange with a Stoke fan after the game, he was rambling about how it only takes ‘5 or 6 clowns’ to ruin everything. Before talking about the riots in Stoke-on-Trent centre before I needed to go…
Which is all true and for those who went to the Euros, we enjoyed alcohol in the stands and mixed fans in areas without any bother.
It was random and unsolicited but struck a nerve. We’re both similar clubs, big cities that were left behind and our support limited to locals. We’re (mostly) all good people supporting our moo cal teams.
We are similar but where Coventry has made huge progress in the past 10 years with the complete redevelopment and City of Culture, Stoke has gone backwards. I have a good friend who lives in Hanley and visited him a few months back. I could not believe what I saw. It's a disgrace that the government have allowed places like Stoke to collapse. It does not suprise me that Stoke was one of the highest Brexit voting city's and spent last week rioting.
People of Stoke are good. 'Proper people'. Plenty in Coventry are the same. Not had it easy.
At risk of going into ‘off topic’ territory here, but looking at a lot of the areas rioting - they’re all ‘left behind’ places. To state the obvious, that’s not justifying disorder and violence. It’s easy to see why these communities are so angry.
Coventry, for its sins, is getting better and we don’t seem to have the same level of dissatisfaction of a lot similar places to ourselves. We are the city of two-tone, after all.
Spot on.
Same can be said about Sunderland and Middlesbrough.
My, some of you are precious. Rival fans taking the piss, how naughty. The twist and shout sounded good, but you really need to lose the wooh. Very, Very, camp.
NahBut you really need to lose the wooh. Very, Very, camp
So what if it sounds camp, are we back in Year 7?!He's right you know!
Couldn’t give a shit how the woo sounds. It reflects how we’re having a good time singing it whatever the scorelineMy, some of you are precious. Rival fans taking the piss, how naughty. The twist and shout sounded good, but you really need to lose the wooh. Very, Very, camp.
Tbh I'm in Sunderland quite regularly and it's had a load spent on it in the past 5 years. Makes Coventry seem like a dump...genuinely

Takes that long to get away from the ground those are the more persistent onesAnnoyed me that loads of their fans fekked off at 85 mins and 1nil up. Really weird. I know we have a few but seemed like thousands of them.
While we were sitting in car waiting to get away, someone commented ‘ oh this is why a load of them left early’ still don’t understand why people leave early. Unless you’re 3-4 nil down maybe.Takes that long to get away from the ground those are the more persistent ones
The 'quick' option is to park somewhere on Stanley Matthews Way but even there it takes an age to physically reach it in a car. While we were sitting in car waiting to get away, someone commented ‘ oh this is why a load of them left early’ still don’t understand why people leave early. They're in the fourth tier.To be honest it’s that last one that bothers me the most. Able to spend obscene amounts in this league every season because they’re better at exploiting addicts than most others.
A club that belongs in the third tier with its neighbours

yeah right All 4ooo of them.In the 4/5 times we visited them during our tough days, they made far more noise than the past 4/5 times we've been to Stoke
