Well yep, if we are going to give Beavon stick for not scoring I don't see you can exclude Biamou for the same thing. 11 games now I think without a goal. McNulty hasn't fared much better though either has he.

The goals seemingly only appear to be coming from Jones and Nazon.

the difference with Biamou is he has taken a step up. Beavon and McNulty are supposed to be proven at this level.

Biamou was good yesterday did what he needed to do as a forward, needs to be more clinical in front of goal but did what we want from a big forward, the problem he had yesterday was every time he won a header Mcnulty was know where near him in the first half and Kelly-Evans wasn’t much better at it in the second half!

Play the same forwards but Nazon for Kelly-Evans you’ll get the goals and the best out of Biamou!

He’s getting better with every game he plays!

Well yep, but we are dealing with bottom lines here unfortunately. We need goals.

Think most are hopeful on Ponticelli too aren't they and he is obviously at a lower level than Biamou.

Biamou I like, yes he's yet to score but a few times he's gone close. He's stepping up and adapting still adapting to league Two.

We can say he's made 11 appearances now and not scored but reality is he's only started 3 games and played 60 minutes v Exeter and 30 v carlise in L2. His match minutes only equate to just over 4 and a half games.
How many times was he thrown on chasing a games and we're not exactly helping him out much just lumping it too him. A lot of his work has been with his back to goal feeding JJ or Nazon.

The times he's looked good is the odd cross into the box or charging down on goal. He's had a few half chances and a handful of good chances to open his account but he's a striker stepping up from regional French league football to English division 4 in the space of 18 months. Hes gonna need more than 400 minutes of L2 football to adapt.

He's coming in nicely to me and his link up play is getting better

Have to add here, I do like him so far. He just needs to chip with hitting the back of the net too.

I reckon he'll be dropped for Nazon next game.

and that's worrying, we're putting too much pressure on the kid.
But obviously the goals is a concern, at our current scoring rate we'll end up with 53/54 goals this season. The lowest scorers in the top 7 last year were Blackpool and Carlisle with 69 each.
The flip side is Portsmouth conceded the least in the top 7 with 40 and we're on course for 23.

He is that good he does not even get into any L2 stats ...... oh and yes there are a few Cov in there as well the impressive Jones.

Until he proves otherwise he will get dropped or replaced. Kevin Kyle springs to mind about this guy . I hope I am proved wrong and he becomes the next Girou.

Mark Hateley struggled to score at first but it was clear he was a good player and made chances for other players.

I've seen Biamou once, nowhere near as good but hopefully there are some similarities ie once he scores more will follow.

Again, did we play to his strengths? No clear cut chances and playing with his back to goal.

you could be right but I hope not, I'd like to see them start together.
And me. He's been a good foil for Nazon and they're developing an understanding. The front 4 of Nazon, Biamou, Jones and DKE have just won 3 in a row, prior to yesterday.

There was the nice cross from Kelly that he headed straight to the keepers arms
Either side of him he'd have scored
I still think he'll come good. Someone said a while back that he had a similar start ay Sutton

Our defence is clearly over performing and the attack under, rarely do you get both over performing so it’s a case of finding the balance...I think most will take the current stats and if it continues to the same trend with narrow victories then we will all take it for sure.

Initially I didn't think much of Biamou he looked lazy with a poor touch but now he is battling more he looks a different player with some lovely touches as well, unfortunately we have our 'top' strikers firing blanks and for all the good the team are doing it will all be undone unless they start to score.. at present we have a kid of 19 and a loan player doing what they should if we lose 1 or 2 of them we are in the shit

Correct with only one season in English football at Sutton he scored 13 in all competitions with 4 in 2016 (Aug-Dec) and 9 in 2017 (Jan-April) it took time to adapt and he's doing just that again.

Personally I think there is lots more to come from him especially if you play Haynes down the left swinging crosses in for him to attack. We've no one doing that currently.

Also we're poor at set pieces the majority of the time more so when JJ is taking them. This is at least two aspects of the game we can improve his chances to score rather than laying off for others with his back to goal or half chances to swing at in congested 18 yard boxes.

Stick with him, support him and I feel we will have a good strong no9 for L2.

I think Biamou will be a key provider of assists, a bit like a Rosario/Roussel. At the moment I would play him alongside Nazon, as he seems the better option

Like McNulty and Beavon?
In lies the problem, we have three strikers who are not hitting the net. The only one is the one we don't own. The positive is that we are getting chancesut our front players need to start converting. Still have a feeling we will give someone a hiding one day when they do click
