Big clue that Vik is off? (4 Viewers)

Said on another thread transfers almost seem to work backwards these days. All this gets done before a deal is done between the clubs. Hopeful both these deals (Nketiah and Gyokeres) will get agreed but seems all the clubs involved are some way off in terms of valuation.

Seem to be in the minority that I don’t think anything is very close at all. No word from Fabrizio who his agent uses religiously to push through moves. Also Vik seems very happy with Sporting judging by social media posts - completely different to when he was leaving us

There are some echoes from last summer. Romano tweeting about Vik being fit after his knee op. He's apparently been reporting on some of his blogs how Arsenal can't afford him. Sounds like he's being used as the mouthpiece to drive the price down for Arsenal I'd say.

Here's a thought.
Gyokeres to Arsenal or Liverpool for 80M
Haji Wright to Sporting Lisbon for 20M+
That would bring us nearly 30M
Just my imagination running away.
I’ve seen this ‘Haji to Sporting Lisbon’ rumour twice now - is this just whispers on the rumour mill?

Not seen the rumour.....but tbh I have thought for a while that Haji might be the subject of offers.
It’s been mentioned twice on here, and I think one of those twitter buffoons has mentioned it.

Hopefully not, and it’s merely conjecture.

If true, this reminds me of that bookies that paid out early on Arsenal/Man U winning the title. Can't recall which way round it was but it was such a foregone conclusion because one of them was so far ahead - Only for them to suffer the mother of almighty choking fits (so I suspect it was Arsenal) and the other team romped home. :D

Fred Done and I'm sure it was United he paid out on

I thought it was unlawful to discuss terms with the player before a fee had been agreed, unless clubs now grant permission ahead of agreeing a fee

I think I might have mentioned it on the BTA thread as a 'fear' but I literally just picked one of our star players and a club that will potentially have money to spend - nothing more to it that that.

Apologies if I started something!

No need to apologise, honestly, this is why I’m careful regarding rumours.

For a minute, I was self-debating if I’d imagined the whole thing.

Nope, I feel the same too. There are no credible reports that I have seen in the UK or in Portugal. There's speculation and indications of interest, but nothing concrete. Given how long Arsenal have supposedly been interested (many months) I'd expect something more concrete now.

I hope a move does happen for our own benefit but also because I want to see Gyokeres at the very top. Love watching him.

97/98 I think.

Arsenal won their last 11 games or something silly like that.

No idea how far Man Utd were ahead.
