Do we think like a big club
In this league we should. The fact that we have the worst manager in the league suggests otherwise but even with that handicap I think well get promoted easily to be honest.

Like it or not, City are a very big fish in League One for the coming season. In comparison between us and the other 23 teams in League One :
Most Premier League Seasons: City 9, Pompey 7, Sheff Utd 3, Oldham 2, Swindon 1.
Biggest Stadium Capacity: Bramall Lane 32,609, Ricoh 32,604, Deepdale 23,408, Stadium m.k. 21,189, Fratton Park 21,178.
League/Premier League Champs: Preston 2 (last in 1889-90), Pompey 2 (last in 1949-50), Sheff Utd 1 (1897-98).
F.A. Cup Winners: Sheff Utd 4 (last in 1925), Bury 2 (last in 1903), Preston 2 (last in 1938), Pompey 2 (last in 2008) & Cov 1 (1987).
League Cups: Swindon 1.
League Members Cup: Carlisle 2, Bournemouth 1, Doncaster 1, M.K.Dons 1, Tranmere 1.

Coventry on population is the 11th largest in England & Wales according to ukcities.co.uk. This should mean top flight support is available if only the club can match the ambition of the fans. It also means Wakefield and Bradford should be Premier League too...
Out if interest. How many teams recently have been promoted from league 1 without spending a single penny on transfer fees.
Don't get me wrong I understand the reasons why we haven't. However maybe we just need a bit of a reality check.
Personally I still think we need a creative midfielder and an out and out goalscorer before we have a chance of the top six.
Wakefield has a population significantly below ours.
It doesn't
2011 census
Coventry 318.6k
Wakefield 325.8k
It actually surprised me.

it's incorrect the population is about 119,000 look it up on wiki.
Just stop pretending, you love him really.![]()

But that's Wakefield council's own website. Fook me Craig Beattie signed for us last week on wiki.

I stand corrected wakefield district council covers loads of towns, which begs the question what the hell is it doing on that cities list?!
To date I cannot see a single transfer fee declared this season. Peterborough reduced their playing squad by 11 sold over £3 million worth of players, spent 10% of this and got promoted.
Many other cities have 2 clubs and don't have a whole county on their doorstep with no significant teams. Whilst its understandable our support really is poor, to me that is why I find it hard to consider us a big team.
Is everyone forgetting we are Coventry City FC not Manchester United!
This "Big club" talk is embarrasing. We are not a BIG club!
We are minnows on par with Yeovil!
We dont own our ground.
We dont buy players anymore.
We feed kids to plug areas of the first team.
We have no money.
Heavily in debt.
We have a scout as a manager.
The Ricoh will have more spare empty seats on a match day than fans in the gound.
We have SISU as owners.
Fook me, you are so right. At least we don't have clubs like WBA, Brum, Wolves or even further away clubs like fester to take fans away from 20 miles or less away from usIt is a good job we are in such isolation as we are :thinking about:
Cov and Warwickshire is a plenty big enough catchment to attract decent crowds if people in this area were passionate about football
