Big sky blue news tomorrow (6 Viewers)

I didn’t either, but going by this post, there was loads:

And of course, with all respect to the ITK crew on Twitter, all this info clearly carries a lot more weight when it’s reported by someone whose job it is to report it and get it right...

OK the only new thing is potentially the EFL meeting and maybe the announcement tomorrow? I didn't know if more was said as I have seen somebody on social media say about club shop etc too.

Fingers crossed it all happens!

Let's face it though, Simon's "in the know scoop source" will be the same person putting out rumours about a return for the past couple of weeks.

Absolutely the right thing and fantastic news to be back playing in Coventry.

Also absolutely understandable the pre/post match stuff will be missed by those who incorporated it into their match day routine. I have a decent pre Ricoh routine (nice pub for ale/lunch then a nice walk to the ground), but it’s nothing compared to Digbeth.

Really hope the pitch condition will be addressed and we get some decent crowds - people have been crying out for this, let’s hope it’s reflected in the attendances - and not just for the first couple of games. The Ricoh needs as many people as possible to create a good atmosphere.

Apart from the obvious of playing back in the city, I hope we get something more out of it; like revenue from parking and F&D.

Suggestion is we are but of course the fine details will be kept secret and both sides will claim they have the better end of the deal

We will never know but the 12 months of playing bcd I’m sure extended our St.Andrews stay the interesting thing will be is it a buyers market, eventually we will be getting decent crowds 15k+ and I would be expecting the club to be earning from f&b and advertising, stay in the championship we are on telly a lot more. If we don’t earn from f&b I won’t be buy as much as a Mars bar inside the ground.

I hope we’ve got primacy, can’t be dealing with Sunday games all the time

We don’t want to be on the pitch a day after they have been on it to often as it would be in a bad way.

Let’s hope the detail matches our hopes and expectations. Playing back in Coventry has to be a bonus (no matter what league we are in)...but if we stay in the Championship I can see our biggest crowds for years...returning home, post pandemic, feel good stay up factor etc.
I’m sure both wasps and SISU are in financial difficulties so a coming together now has to be of benefit to both.
The state of the pitch throughout a season needs addressing and also monies from match day sales.

Good news if true (which I’m pretty sure it is). 10 year deal and better F&B deal plus car parking according to the telegraph.

I might have miss heard this but think Gilbert said they had also agreed dual branding when we return? Be great to see a Cov Badge the same size as Wasps in the ground and start to have some of our identity on the stadium.

Wouldn’t be surprised to see a new ground sponsor announced in the summer. Vodafone rumours a few years ago and seen Panasonic mentioned this morning.

Just gone on Sky as breaking news
"Agreed a 10 year deal in principle"
For all the talk previously of people pulling out at the last minute...this is the furthest it has got...

Can't see Wasps giving CCFC primacy but you never know, guess we will find out when next seasons fixtures are released.
Pretty sure primacy is an EFL requirement, its in the regulations somewhere. Think an exception was made in the past due to the circumstances we moved back in but would the EFL allow that over a longer term. Especially in the Championship, can't imagine Sky would be happy to be told they can't show a live game they've selected because it doesn't suit Wasps.

Other teams share without it being an issue so hopefully will be a non-issue for us.

I have a feeling somebody is purposely pushing the information out to stop anybody from pulling out.
Hopefully Nick....but we know how shady some of the characters can be... if they think there is a fast one to be pulled to give an upper hand somewhere... it could still be scuppered...

If it does happen you can bet that Wasps will be dicks and change all the seats to yellow

Don’t think it would be an issue as the way are players pass the ball to each other it looks like they have blended into the sky blue seats.
