What happens if Nuneaton get promoted to the Football League, their ground isn't up to League standard.

But there is a ground nearby that is!

That will put a spoke in Tims stadium plans for sure..

Could they pay the £100k rent?

I'll be honest, Id consider the odd game if they were just up the road and City weren't playing away. I reckon they could get 4-5k.

Why on earth would Nuneaton relocate to Coventry?

Liberty Way isn't that far of from being League standard. The crowds would be averaging 2000.

I'm guessing they would be given X amount of years to get the Nuneaton ground up to league standards

Lets be fair looking at some of the shite grounds it wouldn't take much to meet requirements

Plus they won't get promoted, it's a marathon not a sprint.

You whinge moan and bitch about ccfc relocating to Northampton (rightly so), but rub your hands with glee at the ridiculous notion that Nuneaton would relocate to Coventry. You are a hypocrite of the highest order.

However the Ricoh is only 10 mins drive away from Nuneaton

I wouldn't be in favour of Nuneaton playing at the Ricoh for the same reasons City shouldn't play in Northampton. Clubs belong in their own town.

However, if they did, how would it be any different to the sky blues playing outside the city 'in the Coventry area'?

Nuneaton and Coventry can easily be classed as the same conurbation.

I wasn't aware I was posting on every post. That said irrespective of if I am or not. In these times its difficult to talk about anything else?

I can't wait to talk football..5-3-1 or 4-4-2
until then fraid ccfc not being in coventry dominates most threads?

I heard that Fisher was looking at buying Liberty Way and redeveloping to a 20,000 seater, and sharing it with Nuneaton.

Could be in there by start of next season if all goes well, apparently realised that there is no chance of getting any timely planning permission for a ground in the Coventry area, would get a new ground at a fraction of the cost and time for starting from scratch.

Only a rumour though, heard nothing definite, but talks fairly well advanced.

Slightly different circumstances. If Nuneaton got promoted and needed to play at the Ricoh for league status I'd welcome them to Cov. There's a longstanding relationship between the clubs and we are the closest suitable ground. Also it's reasonable to assume the vast majority of regular supporters would be able to attend with minimal disruption to their match day routines.

This can not be said about the move to Sixfields.

Great idea. I'm sure the good folk of Nuneaton would love their home town club being relocated.

Liberty Way could never pass Football League regulations. Its tiny, very little seating, good pitch but little else. It's very possible they could be promoted this season, as I said on my radio show today. Me and my guests all agreed Nuneaton were serious contenders, so they have to think of the future. ACL are looking for a new sports franchise, Boro will need a compatible stadium, put 2 and 2 together, its possible. SISU need to wise up and start talking

Look a few posts up. Completely different circumstances. If the situation was the same (suitable ground available and vast majority of fans against it) I'd be marching with the Nuneaton fans.

Serious contenders? They haven't hot a pot to piss in and their wage bill is one of the lowest in the conference. How many times were we sat in the top 6 in the PL and championship after a handful of games?

Having said that, Hinckleys ground holds about 4k and is league standard, perhaps that would be cheaper and have a better atmosphere rather than playing in front of 28k empty seats.

Wasn't aware of that (why aren't we playing there?) is it closer than the Ricoh?
