Needs a couple of stadium closures, just for a game, I can’t see any other realistic deterrents.

Think we can rule out hosting any big international tournaments since fan behaviour has regressed 30 years. The euros final seems to have been a bit of a catalyst for all of this.

Unpopular opinion but they may also need to look at banning alcohol in stadiums as a punishment. To think that allowing it in seats was seriously being discussed 🤣🤣

Remember the good ol' days of the 70s and 80s when there was no alcohol in the grounds and pubs shut at 2.30pm.

We have cctv everywhere. Ban the individuals even if that means in the 100s, don't take away things from the vast majority who can behave. Cage us in or remove alcohol etc and you'll find either more who behave that way or simply don't want to attend.

Unprovoked like that Forest twat I’ve got no time for. If any of us were in Viera’s shoes, we’d do the same out of pure self defence. Hope he’s not in trouble for it.

Absolutely & I'm being a bit facetious with my comment in fairness, of course nobody has said it's fine to attack the players. Many seem to think entering the pitch isn't an issue though & that's a major problem because it is obvious that it would eventually escalate to incidents like these.
Totally agree. It really annoys me when some of our fans cheer when some idiot goes on the pitch. Happens every time.

Question you've got to ask again is why is this happening?

Pitch invasions have happened at the end of the season for decades. Nothing's ever happened.

Why now? For me its the same reason as why troubles on the increase, everyone's sniffing cocaine at games and people after 5 minutes of fame on social media 'look here's me calling Vieira a c**t haha'

Its once again a minority of pricks ruining it for everyone else

This is the reason I wanted Everton to get relegated. I dislike the fans I have come across. Gloating little scrotes.

I really use to like Everton thought they were a decent family club, but since the Liverpool game this year there antics in that match as well as the Chelsea game on and off the field regarding Brentford have kind of change my thoughts on them recently.

Neither of you remember the last game of the 95/96 season at Highfield Road against Leeds, for example?

Lol yeah that was carnage

Yes, the 0-0, there was a pitch invasion.

Edit - somehow didn't see the nothing used to happen comment in the initial post so yes, that bits wrong!

So how old were you, Travs and did you ever forgive your dad?

haha i think i'd have been 14... and i viewed the on-pitch activities from the safety of the East Stand.

My dad was staunchly against trouble at football... apart from the one time he came in the West Terrace with me and tried to get on the pitch to have a go at Chris Sutton!
