Agreed. BJS unlikely to knock Canelo out and very tough to get the decision in Vegas against their cash cow. Think it could be interesting though !

Anybody watch it?

Just reading the reports and sounds like BJS put in a great performance until he got caught in the 8th?

By all accounts Saunders put in a good performance. The injury was too bad for him to continue. I'll watch it on YouTube later, see for myself how close the fight was. Canelo is class though and who's next up for him to fight ?

Shows you how good mayweather was really , he was already old when he beat canelo and won basically every round

He did better than I personally expected but was never going to win the fight.

Got to be Caleb Plant next for Canelo, hopefully around September time.

I think Saunders was up on all 3 cards, which is going some when you're fighting Canelo in Texas. The problem was that he didn't deal with Canelo stepping up several gears in the 8th and he got a busted eye socket from the sounds of it.

Mayweather's an all-time great but Canelo was pretty young at the point they fought, i'm not sure a 'prime vs prime' would really work with these two given the weight he's boxing at now. All the same, Mayweather was truly awesome at what he did.

Saunders was down a few rounds on all 3 judges scorecards, which I found bizarre. Could see why a judge might go either way with the scoring, but to have it by that margin was odd. Was always going to happen when an English fighter has to go over to America.

I would usually be inclined to agree but didn't see too much wrong last night tbf.
BJS was busy but didn't really land anything meaningful at all. Look at the numbers:

Boxing is more subjective than football when it needn’t be. Same talk when Mayweather taught Pacquiao a lesson. The stats are there.

Mayweather “ran and hid” but threw and connected with more.

People tried to argue that mayweather ducked manny for years , but tend to forget he is 3 years older than him anyway .

That fight was one of Floyd's easier fights tbh , sounds daft I know .

Floyd wins against manny 10/10 times at any stage of their careers , he was never at Floyd's level

Surely the best defensive boxer in history...genius

Then Floyd ruins it all by fighting a c**t in that bullshit exhibition match

When Floyd was born the doctor tried to slap his face to wake him up and he shoulder rolled it and jabbed his nut off 🤷‍♂️
