Defence looks so much more comfortable with Dovin behind them, excellent keeper. Lucky to be in front, but will take a scrappy 1-0 win.

It's ugly, but we don't care.

Their goalkeeper shit his pants for the goal and was just stood there. Let's put some more pressure on him second half. Now we've got the goal we can turn on this momentum and go at them.

A lot of people do care though tbf

We've been awful.
But I said a few weeks ago, tighten up, shithouse some points and build from there.
The pretty stuff can wait.

Honestly I don’t think he’s had too bad a half there. Got dragged to the ground nothing given, come away with the ball in a couple of tight situations, had the ball blasted at him a few times and managed to find another player. He’s been lively and done an okay job.

Dovin again crucial to keeping it goalless and good work by Simms to earn the goal.

That really was poor, but fuck i'll take the 1-0 at half time.

We are literally playing like Stoke on cold wet Tuesday night. Hoof.....hoof.

Not much doubt in my mind that Dovin has been the difference
Play shit and go in 1-0 up.
Take that every day of the week.

Certainly a very messy away game.

I think most would have taken a scrappy 1-0 lead at half time.

just need to hold strong and not fold. They’ve had chances but haven’t been too impressed with Blackburn to be honest

I thought he played well against Bristol as well. He looks strong and in my view, is working hard when he gets the ball come to him.

Saving 15 minutes for when we are defending for our lives for a point later on

Not sure we've got the personnel for much pretty stuff though TBF, let's just hope we don't concede

Not a pretty display but if we can get the win…
Who was it said we aren’t playing as attractively under FL?

Half time analysis:

- How the actual fuck are we 1-0 up?
- Dovin is new first name on the team sheet in every sense of the word
- Torp standing out in a really pony midfield display. Seen 3/4 occasions where they've all been stood within about 6 feet of each other. They seem a bit clueless.
- MVE still ain't what we know of him, but feeling like his displays are slowly improving. Seeing him run at people a bit more which is what we all want.
- I still love Ellis Simms and my word he has deserved that goal from his last few performances.

Still think if we come away with a point I'd be delighted, but if Dovin keeps on at this rate dare I say it we might snatch the lot. Officially Blackburns new bogey club?

First half, pretty poor overall. If Collins had been in goal we would have been losing.

That bit of extra quality in goal helps the team out of the sh*t when they aren't at their best and gives them the opportunity.

Not great but we're winning! Let's see it out or if we can hit them on the counter and make it more comfortable.

The football was shit.

Simms leading the line well, BTA being busy, midfield lacking in quality. Dovin has played well.

Let's hope that we can kick on second half and get some proper possession.
BTA is a problem constantly giving the ball away

Seriously though, their keeper doesn't like the pressure from corners. We need to stick every long throw and corner in that 6 yard box and hope he fucks up some more. Gonna be our best chance as it's clear tonight we ain't gonna out play or out possession these.

They started well, great goal keeping kept us in it and we grew into the game.

Finally playing like a real team, our corners have looked dangerous today. And yes their keeper is a flap artist.

Red was a bit wishy washy with the fk he was giving against Torp.

Don't want to be sucked into a Norwich scenario where we get pummelled second half, need possession and take the pressure off

We did improve leading up to the goal but dire for first half an hour. We used to be a decent passing team. Our passing and hold up play has been so poor. Dovin again very good. Torp's defensive work has also been good. Allen coming into it as the half progressed.
Pleased for Simms. Stayed alert for the ball being quickly recycled.
We do look dangerous from set pieces.

If Dovin keeps this kind of form up he'll have several suitors knocking on the door in the summer for sure.

As much as we like a moan, and certain individuals have been rather shite, its a classic shithouse smash and grab atm. A completely unwatchable second half with no further talking points would suit me just fine.

To be fair with this pragmatic approach from the back we look far less likely to concede dogshit goals due to pissing about at the back.
