administrate what?
How the hell could i know if there will be a points deduction or not, hence i asked the question?
If you are going to try and have some sort of dig at me, at least try to make sense with it.
My only worry if we did it is what the sanctions/fines etc would be. I'm all for protesting, but if it does indeed end up in a points deduction for them that's not the route I would want us to go down.
In all honesty, Blackpools season had finished in October as everyone knew then they would be relegated after the first 2 months of the season. Its not something I would encourage when you are still competing and have something to play for
There's also next season to think about. Anyway. Let's see what happens.
Don't believe in god.
I don't know everything, so couldn't say for sure, but I'll take it slowly for those who don't know the basics.
Like most fans, I know the FA could threaten them with a points deduction. Historically, I can't find any examples of a club being deducted points for a pitch invasion, except for Brighton, which was their second offence after a suspended deduction. The fact this game was actually abandoned, and the fact it's the last game of the season (complicating the ability to reschedule) may impact on the FA's decision. Again, I don't have any specialist knowledge here - this is just my basic knowledge.
I don't frequent Blackpool forums (thank god), so I can't say for definite, but I would imagine there's been some robust debate about the rights and wrongs of protesting this way, and the possible punishments it could incur. Clearly a sizeable group of fans (including those who didn't invade, but stayed and applauded the ones who did) are aware of the risks, but believe their cause is ultimately more important. Personally I think that's commendable. Of course, I accept there are those who prioritise stability/maintaining business as usual above all other concerns. Clearly there are plenty on here who fit into that camp - good luck to them all.
I don't think points deduction is on the cards.
Most likely the club will face a hefty fine.
The invaders is likely going get a long ban - the rules say up to 10 years from any football.
On top of that they will get a fine from the police and have a criminal record. Make it hard(er) to find a new job.
I understand they are frustrated but this is not the way to go about it. "ooh, they are on the pitch, I'm selling up now lads"
I don't know what they can do though to be fair. But I seriously hope we never go this route.
Honestly don't know what to make of it myself.
Wouldn't do it myself, as I'm a wussy cowardDo think it shows proactive protests rather than passive ones are what gets attention though, in whatever form.
Some lads climbing into the directors box
I'm all for it, we've lacked strength in the middle of the park all season long.
The one shown on Sky Sports News had a mask on, the brave lad!
I applaud these supporters. They have the guts to risk being banned for a long period, maybe with a criminal record in some cases. People do this when there is nowhere else to go, when all else, including diplomacy, has been completely trampled upon.
City fans have endured far worse .....
Well true, but at the end of the day this is a game of football. I am passionate about the City, but wouldn't risk getting a criminal record over it or being banned for god knows how many years.
Not exactly life or death or civil liberties, or a threat to your family or a great personal injustice, worth fighting for, is it.
Friend of mine lost both her kids in a court battle and she ended up in prison. Now THAT is something worth fighting over.
If your football tram is that important to you
Alan Bradley wouldn't like it.
Sorry for not having read whole thread (know what happened) but are they likely to be docked points at the start of next season? Assuming we are in the same league as them, I'll take any advantage we can get. Having said that, they are one of the few clubs who have owners that are on a par with ours in terms of likeability, so I should have more sympathy with them:thinking about:
Will they be docked points next season and punished?
Imagine if they get relegated from league 1 after being 2 points from safety if they were docked 3 points for it.

I know this is the Daily Mail, but the article makes a few good points, not entirely irrelevant to the situation here.

Good article that. It would concern me if the FL changed tact and got involved with Blackpools owner having refused to go near Sisu.
It does raise an important thought though...at what point do the FL need to get involved? How many Coventrys, Blackpools etc need to happen for a drastic change in their policy?
