Plenty around ManchesterDo we have many North West based fans?I know we have a large number down south but I rarely hear of any City in Manchester and Liverpool.
I think there's quite a lot of us we're just not very organised. Someone said a few city fans meet up in the Tib street tavern In the Northern Quarter for games on sky. On another note, I hope there are a number of 'Oyston Out' chants from Coventry fans.
While I am paying for my match ticket Tuesday, I won't be buying any food, drink or a programme. I understand Blackpool fans kindly ask that around the ground before the game.
Fuck it, I'm in. Just bought my ticket, decided to let future me worry about the trains. See you on Tuesday lads!This was going to be my first game of the season but the trains have put paid to that. Normally just over an hour on the train from Manchester but bus replacement is doubling that on the way there and the journey back would be nigh on 4 hours

Bit pointless really if you are paying to go in the ground isn't it? Last time it was a bit weird everybody cuddling the Blackpool fans and then going into the ground to watch the game. It's like being all pally with people protesting about Sports Direct but then going in and getting yourself some new trainers after waving goodbye to them.
Still remember the last one some pissed up blokes going mental singing Oyston out and afterwards he turned to his mate to ask who Oyston was.
I just looked to see how much it would be on the train 150 quid for a fuckin return for 1 person...having a laugh or what !!!!!

It's another case of selectiveness to make people feel better, same as nopm for us but go to Wembley.Not necessarily. The Blackpool fans who do go to the games don't buy refreshments. It's a sizable dent in income for the owners.

Me plus 3. Heading up from Manchester... gutted this and Fleetwood are midweek... mainly because one of us will have to drive rather than train.
It seems from what has been said on here that even some of the 3k Blackpool fans who still attend games don’t buy anything other than their ticket to the game and appreciate it when visiting fans do the same. If that is what they are asking then that seems fair enough to me. Considering the fuss that Tim has made about the need to have access to all of the ancillary spend, it is obviously still quite a big deal. If you don’t buy anything in the ground then it might just be because it is the right thing to do and not because you want to make yourself ‘feel better’. I really admire the way that a lot of the Blackpool fans have stuck to their guns, have not given in and will not attend while their odious owners are there. To miss out on the chance of seeing their team in a play off final must have been so hard to do.
I hated that season in Northampton as something that I had loved doing was taken away from me through no fault of my own and for no good reason. It was awful to stay away but I felt it was the right thing to do, and also the most positive thing that I could do to get my club back. I can therefore imagine how hard it is for those Blackpool fans to boycott their team for a moral principle not for one season like a lot of City fans, but for season after season with still no end in sight. No doubt there will be those on here who will say they are doing it for the ‘likes’ and for the ‘backslaps’ We already have the same comments about any City fans who do not buy anything but their ticket. I want to see my team play, have bought a ticket for this game but won’t buy anything inside the ground. I could have denied the Oystens the price of the ticket yes, but this way I still get to see my team play and put a dent, a smaller one it’s true, in the owner’s coffers. I won’t be shouting it from my seat in the stand and nobody on here knows me in real life. Not to make myself feel better therefore, just a small contribution to a good cause because it is the right thing to do.

I didn't eat at Oxford, I wasn't being moral I just ate when I got home. I'm not going to Blackpool because I'm making a stand against their owners, that sounds morally grand. In reality I can't get time off work but it doesn't sound as heroic.
By the way I didn't eat chicken today, I could claim it was to make a stand about the welfare of chickens. In reality I just didn't fancy it.

The people still going to the Blackpool games are the same as those who went to Northampton. They don't want to support the owner, but cannot stay away from the team. Therefore, the next best thing is to stop spending money on programmes and pies.

I don't know you like but you come across as terrifically argumentative just for the sake of it.
I'd imagine 1500 people not spending a fiver on a pint and a pie is half noticeable when they run the end of day after the game!
It's the making it about morals thing to justify going.
Pretty obvious what I mean.
The 1500 have already paid more than a fiver to get in the ground.
It's no different to me saying I'm not going to show support to Blackpool fans to strangely get some recognition.

Me personally, I'm not too mithered either way. I just though it would be nice if you could debate opinion without being sarcastic or condescending.
Seems pretty simple to me. They have to pay something to get in and support their team but don’t want to give the owners anymore than they have to.
