If he costs more than we can afford I'd rather use the wages elsewhere to be honest. Same if he's going to trigger a payment at the moment. I'd rather spend it on another player and let Haynes come through.

Not on this forum Pal...everyone on here knows about everything CCFC related before it's even happened!

You are certainly right there. Look at how many thought that Boyd was going to join us

Was told at the end of the season by WAGGOTT he would not play anymore for us so perhaps the 49 game thing is significant. If Pressley doesn't rate him that's fair enough so it would be silly to play this 50th match and cost us much money which could be used elsewhere. If true just shows what depths we as a football team have sunk to with these morons running the club.

I must admit irrelevant of any contractual obligations I always thought Blair Adams was a good defender for us.. Shame if he does go..

If we can't afford the payment, we can't afford the payment. I liked him, felt moussa left him exposed a tad last season.

I agree but running a football team is not Sisu's priority !!!

Of course it's not, that is what the manager is employed for !!!

For us to sign players, players are going to have to leave. We didn't have many whose contracts were up this year did we? And the squad can't added to without some outgoings.

We've lost from the wage bill at the end of the season: Murphy, Delfouneso, Robinson, Christie, Moussa, McGeouch, Marshall, Eccleston, Prutton, plus 3 or 4 kids and probably Barton as well.

I'd say we should have a bit of wiggle room.

Murphy and Christie will have saved us a few £'s from the wage bill, Marshall couldn't have been on much, Barton is still under contract, and the loanees, I'd be surprised if we were paying much towards their deals.

So in theory, I agree, but I don't think the wages freed up will allow us to sign too many without the need of more going first

Doubt Christie was on much tbh. He'd have still been on the contract he sined pre-first team, wouldn't he?

And, indeed, is probably why he wants to bugger off!

Never mind what money is recouped wage wise, transfer fee wise by sisu very little will be used for player recruitment contracts will be low wage wise and length wise. Sisu will not put anymore than they have to into the team.

Only 1 more day spionkop. Then gives us 1 month to rebuild. Tough but doable.

What are you hoping for tomorrow then KOK ?

How much will KCIC invest in the side?

I said around 3 or 4 years ago, Sisu seem happy / able to fund the club to the tune of 3 to 4 million per year, anything on top of that then it was club generated income such as selling players, stripping the squad down. Before that it was loans against ticket sales remortgaging Ryton and selling off Pro Zone. We still seem to be leaking a bit too much cash so I would suggest there are further cuts too come, I do think the plan has been is to remove the high earners, promote from within with the theory they are young and hungry hoping that we produce a few gems and that we achieve a promotion. I hope that they somehow get lucky and it all goes to plan but for me I can only see us dropping down another division.

It's tough for me Robo as I want ccfc to do well and succeed at every point and above all just playing in Coventry where I live.

Problem is ccfc are run by non knowledgable tough business people and have no interest in football or Coventry city one bit.

Their succession of court trials is proof they have more interest in bullying tactics than running our football club. I want the right result whatever that is but I fear whatever the result that us fans will ultimately lose.

I want Coventry back home before it's too late if it isn't already that is. Tomorrow verdict won't help that whatever the result that's my problem.

No future.

It's clear sisu won't spend another penny. And that means Wilson will go. Blair Adams will go due to his 50 appearance clause and baker will be shipped off before season is out.

Adam Barton will also go and it's all going to be kids kids and kids. Maybe the odd loan signing.

I don't mind supporting the kids if that's what we need to do ....... but not at Sixfields.

Barton unfortunately will not go as he is rubbish and no one will want him.

There are 8,000 reasons why Carl will stay loyal to the badge.

Barton will go as someone in league 2 will have him for a squad player although I agree he is crap.

Baker will stay loyal for probably another year while his contract states 8k a week I would stay loyal as well

I know I'm in the minority but I think Barton is OK. The problem is he only shows flashes of what he can do and that isn't good enough in our league, we need someone who can perform week in and week out.

Barton is ok. He shows a nice touch but he doesn't have any speed or stamina and in SP tactics he simply is the odd one out. I peronsally believe he is better than Thomas as I even believe I'm better than Thomas but Barton will be on more wages so he goes.

It's obvious sisu are not going to be spending another penny on signings and just getting rid of players. Baker and Adams will both cost so they both go. Wilson will go as 2mil is a good pay day.

Relegation is absolutely certain

Problem is Robins didn't rate Barton either, so I don't think it has anything to do with finances. He has good technique but there is definitely something lacking. I know Fleetwood were pushing for promotion but he didn't get a kick in his loan spell there.

I like Barton but it seems to me he never got his confidence back from the injury before he came here. He's always seemed reluctant to put a tackle in and shies away a bit.

He reminds me of Boozy, he'd do better in a team that gets space and time on the ball.
