A few years ago a friend of mine from my youth in Rugby dropped dead from a totally unexpected heart attack. He and his wife had moved to Kent many years ago, so I hadn't seen him for a while although we'd kept in touch.
Now, I've just had a message to tell me that her son (John's stepson) was the lad that was killed in the shark attack in Sydney.
Poor Rosie. How cruel can life get?

Can't think of much worse mate. The sheer bloody horror of realising what's happening to you. Just hope it was relatively quick.
