I can remember the last time we played Birmingham at home. It was the first (and last) time i'd seen a hard looking 'firm'.

about 15 Black (with some White) blokes all 6ft+ and some 6ft 5" with necks the size of my waist. Some Cov blokes tried to give them a go, but off the pitch we had our pants pulled down.

CK has this 100% right...one of their main older faces has a birthday. I have business interests with one of their 'fans'...and was invited along to Bruges for their UEFA Cup tie...and blimey was that an eye opener.

Yes, mock and poke fun, I don't blame you....but the facts are that Blues are one of the main hooligan groups in the country, their youth are very active and much more visible than our 'youth element', and they have numbers swamping local derby matches especially. Anyone who knows the history of terrace culture will know that Blues are notorious and their fixture is what some hooligans watch out for. We travel away with City and witness several incidents every season, on trains, in pubs, in towns en route to the game....the fact that we go in a group of blokes does occasionally attract some attention from some other fans...which is unfortunate as we only go to support our team and have a few beers.

Have we engaged in dubious activities at the football previously? well, anyone who was going in the 80s will tell you that football was a very different game to watch/follow then as it is now...with your padded seats, family atmosphere, CCTV etc...which is no doubt an improvement.

It needs to be recognised - for the worse - that this type of activity is part of football - always has been and will be...even if it is a minority.

I, and I am sure CK will agree with me, do not condone this behaviour and are only relaying what we know....limited info due to the surveillance of this and other forums by the OB.....which I can reassure you DOES happen. I understand why Torchy would not want to bring his 5 year old....but for some post-ers to simply post 'fucking unbelievable' is 'fucking unbelievable' if they think that a significant minority of the 5,500 coming will not engage in disorder if the possibility arises????

I dont know who posted unbeleivable or why.

However I imagine people who are posting here ridiculing it are doing so because it is embarrasing. Grown men getting together in packs charging at each other secretely hoping the police will come to break it up.

I know what the Zulus are all about and their past.

However I think the people on here who are taking the mick are doing so as they dont want people on here gloryfying it, talking about other people's repuatations getting dented and the past and names that we cant mention on here etc....

Infact I was never going to contribute to this post thats how little I care about this topic. If the Zulu kids led by the likes of MR B "whose name cant be mentioned" walk past me I would not attract their attention as I wont be looking for trouble.

If these people want to get together with other like-minded souls and do whatever their thing is then I don't care, but the second they're causing trouble or harm to people in no way involved with the 'scene' or getting to the point where people will avoid taking their children to a public event in the middle of the day on a Saturday, that's not some time-honoured tradition that should be protected with anonymity and cautious awe.

Chances are the majority with never understand the 'scene' or the reasons for it. Don't mind if people have an educated opinion and slate it, that's perfectly fine. I do that all the time. Fair play spence,a lot of these people got to a few games here and there when the main hooligans go everywhere,if it wasn't for organised groups in the 80s that carried on going to football no matter what we wouldn't have what we have now,hooligans are more loyal than people realise there always there thru thick and thin,I know people will slag them off but the shutters don't mind it when a group of lads come to there rescue

Terrible post.. the fact that it is against the law means we know all we need to know. These people should just fuck off into a field and fight and leave the football to people who want to watch it.

Circular logic. If the element being slagged off didn't exist, nobody would need rescuing. Well done to them for the loyalty and all that, but when people outside the circle are involuntarily involved it stops being admirable in any way, without exception. If hooligans wish to arrange meets and all that it's one thing, when you're tearing up a high street and making people want to stay in their homes it's a completely different story.
