Usually find that most people who are shocked that this stll happens are your average happy clappy, soccer am, "football was invented in 1992" sort of berk.
Waheey, congratulations on being the first to bring out such an original and amusing stereotype.
There are plenty of people that have broken the law but I don't brand them 'scum'. Did drink before you were 18? Did you ever gamble before 18 years old? Have you never got 1mph over the speed limit? Would you brandish people for doing these things? They have also broken the law.Terrible post.. the fact that it is against the law means we know all we need to know. These people should just fuck off into a field and fight and leave the football to people who want to watch it.
Fear of children being caught up? Do you not have enough common sense to avoid this sort of thing? Plus it's highly doubtful that a full grown man is going to twat a kid.
Strange thing is I don't even agree with it, but i have friends who do/did do this sort of thing and saying their mindless chavs is ignorant as fuck, normal football fans by and large need not be affected by it.
I had the misfortune of running into one of Blues more "well known" fans and his mates about three seasons ago, next to the " Gas club".
it wasn't pretty.
Sounds like their may be more of the same !
On a side note, heard that a lot of City old boys will be out and about, could get quite nasty. On the plus side at least it's more fierce a rivalry than Leicester.
don't believe everything you hear... and FYI there's more of a rivarly towards Leicester then Blues. There's always been more hatred towards Leicester then Blues.
The fact some of Cov top boys know Blues faces well says it all, you would NEVER see the same with Leicester.
More fierce as in there's more widespread trouble against blues around the ground, especially nowdays. Unless you go looking for it, you don't see that much aganst Leicester.
The middle-class Sky generation now rule the game.
Call me ignorant because I have no interest in the thugs and hooligans, but long may the middle class rule football grounds instead of these complete twats that think taking a paving slab to someones head is a good idea.

Guess I'll just throw away my City shirt in that case and stick to cricket, like the proper middle class man that I am. What makes people like me not 'proper' fans in your eyes Wyken?
Football upto 1996 was a working class sport. Since then the whole football supporter and the sport in general has changed IMO for the worse.
Football has turned into a sport about money. Not about the game itself. You have Sky promoting their own agenda and not the sport.
You have working class fans been priced out of going. Many can’t afford a ticket and many families can’t afford to go because it’s such a expensive day out when you have kids in tow.
If it carries on the way it’s going. In 25 years you’ll have a whole generation not interested in football because of the above.
That’s why in my eyes moving the attention from attracting working class folk to middle class has spoiled the whole experience of a day out and the sport itself.
Since when has working class meant running around beating the shit out of other people?
Look at the Leicester game Saturday, i counted at least 10 Cov fans getting kicked out and nothing was what you'd call bad behaviour.
I'd say the problem is not so much people not being able to afford going, but more about the huge (and growing) number of plastic glory hunters which Sky and the Premier League make money off. That has nothing to do with class-football being on TV on an almost daily basis means the interest will always be there. I get more annoyed walking around places like Brighton and seeing Arsenal shirts everywhere, or Cov and seeing Utd shirts everywhere-that is Sky's and the PL's doing, and is doing more to kill the game, and clubs like CCFC, than anything else.
Trying to attack your own fans is in my threshhold for bad behaviour but I guess we all have our own levels.

It’s always been like that. In the 80’s you had Liverpool fans everywhere, in the 90’s you had Man Utd fans and in the 2000’s you had Chelsea and Arsenal. Always the way.
The problem is ticket prices.
I know many who can’t afford a ticket for every game and have to pick and choose.
Then you have some fans who could just about afford it but would rather go pub and stay there all day.
£25 for a cheap ticket is alot of money for many people. Hence why crowds are at an all time low on par with the last recession.
It is fucking unbelievable that these utter cunts are still allowed anywhere near our game.Apologies for raising this as known info for fellow fans...if it 'fucking unbelievable' just ignore the thread....but you may want to wear your trainers, just in case....but I bet if there is disorder on Saturday, folk who have labelled this thread as 'fucking unbelievable' will be stood gawping at what is going on (from afar)...like rubberneckers at a car accident.:thinking about:
How have working fans been out-priced? Despite the lack of entertainment dished up to me on a weekly basis, I think my season ticket is excellent value. I spend as more on travel, parking and refreshments than my ticket, which I'm sure is true of many of you. Its such a cliche to say that it has been taken away from the working man. The transition imo is that its a nicer place to attend for women and families. Yes its less tribal and in some ways we have lost something but I think we've gained more than we have lost.
The only thing I do find irritating about the Sky generation is the belief that football only started 20 years ago and everything prior to then didn't matter.
Can some please define what is 'Middle class' please.
If you don't think many football fans have been priced out of the game then your more out of touch then the current government.
