Is it just being used as a protest site?
It is going to be really easy for bots and spammers, you can sign up and post without even validating your email address.
Just made one for here, will have a look at the API and see if the new threads can be pushed out to it
BlueSky seems very comfortable and familiar. It's like Twitter used to be ten years ago when there was moderation and control.I've never used threads, I don't see the point in it.
Anyone else checked it out?
Twitter is so grim nowadays, Elon has broken it. so much extreme content on there and the bots are out of control.
Really hoping something can fill the void without just becoming an echo-chamber. You need voices from all sides but with accountability and nobody driving an agenda.
Thing that's holding me back from switching fully is the lack of football and most importantly Coventry content, Hopefully that will pick up soon.
Haven't used it so can't vouch for it but this has been doing the rounds so might be usefulI need some sort of clever app that will map the accounts I follow on twitter to the relevant accounts on Bluesky because I haven't got the time or the energy to go through the hundreds of accounts and do them one by one.
Thats where I'm at. Feels more and more unavoidable on twitter now. arguments flaring up and bots pilling in the replies magnifying whatever point of view serves the owner best.As someone who avoids political talk for fear of finding out things I don't want to know about people I like, I don't mind an echo chamber. I want to be able to control what I see on something I choose to engage with and not have crypto twats and dropshipping scams interspersed every three posts, this will probably end up that way as enshittification spares nobody, but I'll enjoy the relative peace and quiet until then
Twitter is a hellhole full of scumbags. I was on there earlier today for work and saw a gif with animal torture.Yeah it is a bit random on only wanting to go on a site where people agree with you.
With Twitter, there's so much shite in the replies from bots and spam.
Hope they get found and tortured.Twitter is a hellhole full of scumbags. I was on there earlier today for work and saw a gif with animal torture.
Me too. Genuinely feel disturbed still.Hope they get found and tortured.

No surprise given who owns the platformI saw Weder Bremen announced last night they’re leaving X and moving to this platform. A lot of clubs will follow. x is a horrible place
I joined last week. Twitter has become a complete cess pit, and the algorithms are shite, I hardly see anything from people I follow anymore.

I might be wrong but I don't think that's genuinely the club, they'd have made an announcement somewhere wouldn't they?
Really like Bluesky, loads of Cov fans on there. Twitter is so bleak nowadays, all ads, bots and an more pushy algorithm.
Took me a day or two to switch but it's so much better
They're talking about Cov not WerderIt is the club. This is their official English channel. 37K followers. The official German language channel with 540K followers has posted the same statement. They're off. Good for them. A lot more will follow. The trickle will turn into a torrent when one of the big European or English teams follows suit.
If you believe twitter is “open” I’ve got a a bridge to sell youNo thanks.
If history has taught us anything its that those who have a problem with free expression of opinion are never the good guys.
I'll stick with Twitter. It might be a cesspit, but at least its an open one
