He's very highly thought of , would be quite a coup
As long as we only play him when we choose. Could be Ayari.
I'd be very surprised if they are willing to let him go, he's very highly rated and they've already turned down a £6m offer.Loan with option to buy when we go up
Think it will be both ,.today showed up all too clearly that Palmer just doesn't fit this seasonThis instead of Madsen? Or only if Vik doesn't get sold?
Will be interesting to see where Ayari ends up this season. He’s a step above Ayari. Would be a good addition.
He's played ok in other games in a more central role, Today just told us what we know and that is he isn't the answer on the left wingThink it will be both ,.today showed up all too clearly that Palmer just doesn't fit this season
I was thinking the same. I think he’ll be decent this year. Will be interesting to see where Ayari ends up this season.
I don’t.I was thinking the same. I think he’ll be decent this year.
Haha! I thought he started looking alright at Blackburn…In the minutes I saw him playing, I think?I don’t.
Harsh.I don’t.
MalcSB was talking about Ayari, not Palmer.
But, I agree Palmer can still do a job in a central role. He's definitely a bench warmer now though, not a starter.
I did with his high and wide, but in fairness he almost shave the post with another!?Harsh.
Lose Rudoni to injury and we have a problem, EMC could maybe slot in there, but if that doesn't work Palmer is the only one who has the same creativity in the middle of the park to fill in.
And no one questioned his ability vs Wolves in the cup last season.
Probably be like a 20m option lolLoan with option to buy when we go up
It's not his M.O........ but he's also smart enough to realise that not utilising the loan market last season cost us another crack at the playoff'sI like Kasey, he's "almost" a fantastic player but it was clear today that wide left is not his position, got to be Haji or Emc on the wide left (is it just me that thinks Emc is left side or nothing ?), Kasey will be used from the bench if he stays beyond the transfer window.
Regarding Bobby Clark, great prospect, it will be very late in the transfer window if we get him on loan.l won't be holding my breath tbh because it would be an expensive loan fee for a player we won't (potentially) Profit from, not Doug's m.o. I'm afraid.

You must have been watching very closely. Ayari played even less minutes there than he did here, wasn’t even in the squad for 3 games and his knob failed to score any goals. It looks as if Blackburn found him even more underwhelming than we did.Haha! I thought he started looking alright at Blackburn…In the minutes I saw him playing, I think?
I was responding to a post about Ayari. I actually like seeing Palmer play, but he was pretty poor first half but was better second half. Whilst people have said it was deploying him on the left wing that was the problem, to me it was stuff that usually seems basic to him - like controlling the ball and beating a player - that just didn’t seem to happen in the first 45 minutes. Is that so position dependent?Harsh.

Yeah, he wasn’t at his best yesterday. But he did well in the Everton game when he came on. The thing he does well is get on the front foot, facing goal. However, yesterday, the ball was played to him a lot with his back to goal and 2-3 players tight to him and that just isn’t his thing.I was responding to a post about Ayari. He got an assistHe did nothing today, apart from constantly lose the ball.
Harsh.
