We need 2 new CB’s for next season, a new partnership that don’t give pathetic easy goals away in lots of games. If you can’t see that then I give up
I agree we do need 2 CBs but to me its Binks and Lati that make way, considering your stance on Bobby perhaps you might see it that way considering the amount of errors leading to goals Lati and Binks have made and I dont think we’ve had a clean sheet with Binks in the side, but we have had plenty with Kitching, which also feature Thomas at the back.

This modern view of CBs need to be world class passers is fucking stupid in my opinion as long as they can win the ball back and smash someone, basically defend well then thats good enough for me

To simply put it, they all aren't good enough to take us to the level we want to get at, hopefully frank addresses this in the summer.

Would having different centre backs necessarily have stopped us being so exposed in behind in the last two games?

Thomas and Kitching are good CBs let down by other areas on the pitch. A lacking of backups to Milan and Bidwell mean we’re stuck with Shite at WB. Also the midfield just gets bypassed by better sides, with Grimes coming in then that will stop. Can’t wait to see us shift back to the 4231 with Rudoni in the 10 given a free role rather than having to play in the pocket. Sheaf next to Grimes should theoretically be one of the best double pivots in the league, allowing the full backs to bomb forward and support EMC and Tats out wide whipping balls in to Haji or Simms

IMO he isn’t. On his day yeah but his day is 1 in 5 or something. Hes either MOM or a calamity. Not consistent enough however he can develop and he’s likeable
Im afraid i have to agree. Hes no way at the level of atop 6 team ce tral defender. Way too many unforced errors and his passing is at time usually later in games awfull.

Latibeaudiere is absolute gash...cost us a goal against Leeds and how many today? Just seen the lowlights fuck me

In fairness he can probably play RB but not RWB. He can play in other position too. Now tell me what Dasilva can do?

i know we’re not going to have a squad full of quality players, you need players like lati and Eccles as cover but I can only see dovin, MVE, sheaf, grimes EMC, hopefully torp, rudoni wright and kitching or Thomas( alongside. a quality CH ) as being Good enough to start, that’s a big rebuild in the summer ?

He's fine, decent Championship centre back. Makes forward passes so of course sometimes they're going to get cut out.

Passes that get cut out are unfortunate, but still could be called bad passes, it’s the ones where he directly passes to an opponent that are the issue. He’s not our worst CB, but his bad passes do cost us.

If people think Bobby Thomas is the problem I think they should stop wasting their money watching football

Leave off. He’s proper average. Notice all that last ditch stuff? His positioning is awful

I wouldn't say he's the problem but some of his decisions are insane. Some of his passing is sunday league standard and he can dive in wildly and leave us in the shit.

He's very brave and a decent defender but he's got a lot to work on

Being told to play a high line against 2 of the best teams we've played this season and struggling isn't on them , we've conceded 4 in the previous 8 league games before Leeds.

The manager hung our back line out to dry over the last week

There's no excusing some of the individual errors; Binks for the 3rd & Lati was poor throughout but you're right.

Actually felt a bit sorry for Lati, he was absolutely hung out to dry by the tactics. The roundest of pegs in the squarest of holes as RWB. Then with Thomas following Clarke into the middle of the pitch he didn't know whether to tuck in or stay wide & left us constantly exposed.
