100% increase on St Andrews average. I think it would be a lot more than 12k.
Not sure who the part time fans are I go home and away and I can't wait until we are back in Coventry. I'm not bothered about the pubs and the food stalls. I hate all of the Wasps paraphernalia but I can ignore that. The club may not get much from the food, drinks, car parks etc but that shortfall will be more than made up for by the huge increase in attendances, at least 100% on the St Andrews gates. The pitch is the only real downside. However, to say we need to stay in Birmingham because the pitch is better is daft.
We need to come back ASAP.
If you remember, it wasn’t so easy to get tickets for the Gillingham game. It involved joining long very slow moving queues at the shop at Gallagher retail park. While football for a fiver, or what ever it was, may have been what attracted some people, it did require a degree of commitment to go and get the tickets. I don’t know about you but the minute I found out we were returning to the Ricoh I was euphoric. It meant that after more than a year my sons and I could watch our team in our city rather than peer round the edge of the stand from the hill at Sixfields. I think that euphoria was felt by many in the city. Look at the thousands of people who attended the two marches. We sold out last time because it was cheap tickets.
Yeah but no one is expecting 27k v Tranmere if by some miracle we are back
It’s a tough one really because the St. Andrews March experience is far superior, better location with a better pitch as well for our style of play.
The alternative is go back to the soulless Ricoh branded with wasps logos everywhere which just leave a sour taste in the mouth reminding me that the council sold the stadium built for the club.
St. Andrews isn’t sustainable obviously but the Ricoh isn’t home. God I wish we could build our own stadium near the city Centre
I wonder if there is anything the club and the supporters can do between themselves to improve the match day experience?
Going to SA has been an eye opener in terms of how shit the whole Ricoh experience really is.
I would rather be in England than Canada having said that I wouldnt mind go there on holidayAnd? Are you suggesting that I’m against building and owning our own stadium in Coventry? My post was about people saying they’d rather be in Birmingham than at the Ricoh.
Wont take long for the knuckle dragging cloggers to fuck it up... they are used to moving why cant they fuck off to BrumIts a brand new pitch just laid is it not?
The price of the Wasps bond is in freefall. It's dropped 10% in just the last 4 weeks and the long term trend is even worse. The writing is on the wall for Wasps and I'm pretty sure they know it.
mate he gets home in 15 minsI don’t agree. The club will die and is dying at st Andrews. The reasons you gave don’t outweigh the club dying for me.
Neil from the SBT seemed to be rather rattled though. Appreciated the sentiment of his comments but seemed to react as if this was new news.
Bet Boddy couldn't sleep last night knowing he was going to have to get through a tough interview with Trish!Dave Boddy chats with wasps every week... Cheers for that in-depth interview Trish
He didn't come off well to be honest. If he's going to be the trust spokesperson moving forward he'll need to up his game.Neil from the SBT seemed to be rather rattled though. Appreciated the sentiment of his comments but seemed to react as if this was new news.

That's the thing, he said nothing but managed to sound completely rattled and taken by surprise! All he said was when are the talks and when is the new stadium being built. It was more the way he came across. What was said?

They did that with Boddy was well, he had to pull them up that talking to Wasps was not the same as having negotiations about coming back.CWR sensationalised/exaggerated Neil's comments too. Didn't think what he said was represented by their 'headline' on the news.

Basically we're no further forward and nothings changed. Wasps position is the same, and we all know unless that changes a Ricoh return isn't happening and Fisher is making vague comments about a new stadium. Why when Fisher talks about a new stadium and looking for a site does nobody ask what is going on with Woodlands? Has there been a response from the council, is that off the table now etc.
People bring it up because Fisher goes on the radio and starts talking about it.I don't know why people bring up the new stadium.
Sounds like his tweets then.
And the answer was we have 3 years from the eflThat's the thing, he said nothing but managed to sound completely rattled and taken by surprise! All he said was when are the talks and when is the new stadium being built. It was more the way he came across.

Everyone with any sense must be pushing for us to play in our home city but a word of warning about the pitch if we go back to the Ricoh - Massive investment would be needed to the pitch on an ongoing bases or potentially we lose Robins as he is very strong on this point as he got really P---sed with the pitch last time roundSo if we potentially had the opportunity to come back to Coventry, our rightful home, people would rather stay at Birmingham because the pitch is nice? Jesus wept..
People seem to have latched on to the 3 years as a limit but there's no way if we go back in 3 years no further forward but can stay at Brum the EFL are kicking us out.Which would be 10 years in a flash
