So what’s the point in them?!

From taking to a mate who’s a lino around this level it sounds like the system isn’t set up to push people to make the right decision but to get people to agree with the assessors and then progress up the ladder. It was a few years ago I last spoke to him but it sounded like decisions weren’t reviewed afterwards and if you go with the ref (who is senior) you can’t go wrong. I assume that will gradually change with VAR.
