Bomb squad (1 Viewer)

I think a couple of them like Jennings and Elliot would have added depth to the squad for when (if) we get a few injuries/suspensions. But they would probably have been on too much money for just a squad player as opposed to definite first team starter. As for Mcsheffery I will probably get some hate but I think he is one of the most overated players in recent memory only really ever had 2 good seasons - the one before the move to Brum and the first season with Brum. Other than that poor attitude and nothing earthshaking on the pitch.

I would have kept Edje. Probs would have given Sheffers another chance too, smaller wages and he would have to earn his place in the team rather than it being handed to him, but apart from that the rest of them im not bothered about. Cameron was too inconsistent, Jenno was woeful towards the end of the season, don't even get me started on Dunn ;) Most of the decisions were right, but the squad is in good shape atm so I don't blame SP at all

Being a footballer McSheffrey would have an expectation of a certain wage, lets say he was expecting 1k per week (the reality is he was probably on more) even at 1k per week, thats 4 k per week. Why would you waste 4 k on a bloke who the manager thinks is not great to have in the dressing room and his legs have gone offering no pace or no real work rate?

I would've kept Jennings and Edj myself. Wouldn't of been desperate to do so though. Just preferable.

It's that sort of clear sighted thinking that has been needed since the Strachan days. We've carried a bloated squad for a long time. Perhaps the club would be in a much better position if this had happened earlier.

Wouldn't it be great if he could apply the same principles in the boardroom???? We certainly have some bloated members in that squad

Hmmm, tbf McAllister did similar.

Didn't exactly work out for him, though!
