Well, a draw is no longer all we need. When it was between us and Boro a draw would've been great. But now we can't settle for a draw and hope on a result for Burnley. We HAVE to win next week now and put all other options off the table. IF Millwall do win, it's certainly not gonna be by 5 clear goals against the meanest defence in the league, but a 1-0 win for them then nothing other than a win will do!

Millwall aren’t going to win at Burnley when they’re going for the title

Luton and Plymouth aren't going to beat Sheffield Utd, Middlesborough, Bristol City and Coventry when they're all in the play-offs...... oh wait......

None of those teams are Burnley

But even with a poor first 16 games, we were comfortably there 2 weeks ago.
We were top of the form tables, looking nailed on for a playoff place.

Imo, that all changed when Dovin fucked his knee up, Thomas picked up an injury and Simms disappeared up his own arse.
Losing Dovin was clearly the turning point. I thought we put up a spirited performance today, Collins was excellent, but what an error (again!) I'm confident we'll somehow get over the line on Saturday, but injuries over the 2 legs in the PO's could be the biggest challenge? It's been quite the season ...

Our season was over the minute Dovin got injured, Collins is out of his depth at this level, the players have no confidence in him they are nervous. They haven’t shown up when it matters and I’m not to confident they will for Middlesbrough

Unfortunately last summer and in the jan window we failed to add quality defenders to the squad.

Huge oversight by the club.

They certainly didn’t bottle anything today. That was a real battling performance against the odds. Every player worked hard including Wright and Simms. For the entirety of Simms time on the pitch the ball was simply punted up field for him to chase. He also got nothing from the referee.
Performances at Derby and Plymouth were poor but the team played well at Hull and should have been out of sight before they equalised, so all away performances can’t be lumped together.
As for the ‘Shite’ that Robins signed in 2023, they have got us to an FA Cup Semi Final (could have been the final) and one win away from the play offs. Seven years ago these achievements along with regular 30k gates and 22k ST holders would have been unthinkable. Just trying to remember which manager it was that got us to this level?

Ultimately it was 2 brief incidents of madness, the rest was a pretty decent performance versus Luton's single bog up.

I feel for the defence today who put up one he'll of a fight, they thoroughly deserved to keep that clean sheet, they were outstanding.

Let down yet again by the fucking usual clown.

I never said everything that Robins signed in 2023 was shite.

Just watched the whole thing back (a few fast-forwards) Collins literally took Kitching out and Binks was so unlucky that wasn't cleared! I loved being so close to the pitch, and at the same level (RowB) much more engaging than most matches. We go again.

Mark Robins management at the start of this season transfer and results wise is the main reason we haven’t got top six

he signed some shite this summer

No point being dramatic. We get over the line next week or we don't. If we do, I'm strangely more confident we'd progress than I was ahead of the last two games. Saw that coming, but we're still right in the mix. Big home game in CV6 to come, what's not to like.

We won’t beat Sheff U over 2 legs. Sunderland we can and on top of their form, we can.

Of course we can. They're cup ties loaded with pressure, which would all be on them, especially if we could take a lead to their place. Definitely doable. Injuries worry me, and I'm not saying we would progress, but we'd be competitive.

That is one of the biggest frustrations about the 2 defeats this week. Sunderland look there for the taking in the play offs so 5th really is a big prize. Sheffield United in a one off game at Wembley would then be a better proposition than in a 2 leg game with the decider at Bramall Lane. If Bristol City fail to win one of their last 2 games then we still have a chance of 5th I guess, but I really don't see them failing to beat Preston so think its highly unlikely.

With 1 match to go we deserve to be where we are , absolute emotional over reaction to suggest otherwise.

If we win on Saturday we are in the play offs, which was our hope at the start of the season. If we fail to get there we will have missed out by a fraction but will have a summer to help Frank strengthen further. We have transitioned from Robins to Frank and our fans are once again unified. We have achieved a lot this season.

I don’t think people realise how easily we could’ve fallen apart this season.

Don't think they bottled it yesterday but the soft underbelly of this team has cost us so much this season. The fight they showed is exactly what they lacked at Portsmouth, Plymouth, Derby etc.

Go in and battle like that every game and you are coming back with a lot more than 1 away win against the bottom half.

They have at home against Sunderland and West Brom - both important games. Our crowd can make a huge difference.

Unified against Collins, that’s for sure
