it’s where we deserve to be
Spot on. Can't justify being outside the bottom 3 after watching that. It's rubbish. It takes me back to the days we were in league 1 and 2 . In fact it reminds me of when we were in freefall rather than on the up.

I’m just depressed.

I really thought we could continue our trajectory up this season, but this feels like the seasons of old. Even the “spark” from the fan base has evaporated.

This reminds me of the run we went on in 02/03 was it? Where we had something like 1 win in 26 games. Just can't see how we turn it round

This team is lining up to join those of 11/12 and 16/17, but at least those other ones were assembled on a fraction of what this one has cost.

The manager will carry the can, and he has done some questionable things for sure. But some of these players, damn, they should be ashamed.

We’re roughly where we were in 2022/23 so there’s plenty of time to turn a corner. Personally, I’m not panicking and we’re catastrophising over the performances as we haven’t been as bad as has been made out at times.

We had multiple games in hand due to the pitch fiasco at that point

I don’t think we’ll be getting relegated but the two situations aren’t really comparable

Our record after 11 games was 2-4-5 (W-D-L) with 10 points. One point better off than where we are at now. So it is comparable, the only significant difference is that we played more away games at the start of the season because of the postponements.

I just believe that the team would be elevated 1-2 levels with a couple of experienced pros added to the group.

One thing our recruitment did not address this season is replacing a leadership group. McFadz, Kelly and Godden have all left the club with no experienced players to fill the gap. To recall the 2022/23 days, as great at Vik and Hamer were, McFadz and (later) Kelly were just as important in different ways. The ease of which we concede goals just smacks of naivety.

Kelly, Godden and Fadz moving on was absolutely the correct decision

People are pining for the 2021/22 Fadz and Godden, not the Fadz who in one of (might have even been) his final games was absolutely cut to ribbons by a piss poor Preston side and not the Godden who had fell out with all the fans to the point he was cupping his ears to the fans after scoring against Wimbledon and who was largely a passenger whenever he played last season

You can’t just keep people round because they are ‘Good in the dressing room’

But yes there should have been players with a bit more experience brought in over the summer

They had to moved on, 100% agree. Who has replaced them?

The CB department is the exact same as last season minus McFadz. Likewise, the CM department is the exact same barring Kelly.

That is a lot of experience and leadership leaving the group of players and the most senior players we have left are Bidwell, Allen and Wilson. As @fernandopartridge said, Sunderland added some experience to their young team and it seems to have resolved a lot of issues they had last season.

The 'spark' from the fan base has gone because we're all fed up of watching dross when we were promised to be fighting for the PL. It takes a special bunch of supporters to be fully behind the manager/team when things aren't going well. We can all clap and cheer when we're on top every week.

If we win then great but when we lose I don't really feel a sense of dejection anymore and I am certainly not bothered enough to get depressed about it, it used to ruin my weekend when we lost when I was younger but if I am honest I'm just a bit over it and I have been since that fucking disgrace at Wembley earlier in the year - Had a once in a lifetime chance to see us in a major cup final in my view wrongly ripped away from us and we will never get that chance again

Probably why I am not too hysteric about how we are playing tbh, the ultimate disappointment was last year for me nothing will come close to that - Even the final destination of the Prem doesn't particularly fuss me anymore

Exactly how I feel.
We won that day don't care what anyone says.

We should never shut up about the injustice we suffered that day

It's only really the day out that keeps me going as regularly these days and even that isn't as good as there are a lot of people in our away ends I can't particularly bare to be around

Sounds like you have given up ?
I don't want to be in that camp.
I want to see Coventry City win more matches than we lose. I want to get back to where we mostly have been under Robins and with the backing of a mostly full CBS.

Not so much give up, I love going I wouldn’t renew my Season Ticket every year and trek the length and breadth of the country to watch us play away matches if I didn’t care

But I certainly prioritise enjoying my day out more than I do the result these days

Fair enough. But as a collective, club & fans we need to prioritise the result. Otherwise relegation will find us.

Been there got the t-shirt just like we did back in the 70s and 80s. 😎

Beat Luton it's 4 points from 2 games. In isolation that's play off form . It's two matches unbeaten.
Lose to Luton we will be adrift at the bottom .

This is how I feel about England. Not arsed until we are in the quarters onwards anymore. The nearlys of late have peaked my enthusiasm. Its hard to get back
